    Where is Restigouche Located?

Restigouche can be found in northern New Brunswick. Restigouche County is bordered on the north by Bonaventure County in the Province of Quebec; on the south by Madawaska and Victoria Counties; on the Southeast by Northumberland and Gloucester Counties.

Restigouche County was originally known as Gloucester County frm 1827 to 1838. From 1786 through 1826, it was known as Northumberland County. Ste Anne-de-Ristigouche has many records that are of great interest when doing Acadian research since it dates back to 1759 and is therefore one of the oldest parishes to be found here. Excellent records were kept by the Capucin Fathers who were missioned here.
