INTRODUCTION
"From the desk of Henri Molaison has come the following paper. He apparently had procured the French text from Canada, which was photocopied from the book published in 1889 under the title of Unpublished French Canadian Documents. It concerns the Acadians who were settled by the French government on Belle-Isle-en-Mer, an island off the Morbihan Coast (the Department in which the island falls.)
Inasmuch as the title page is not included with the copy, it is assumed that this is part of a much larger work on this group of Acadians by L'Abbé H..R. Casgrain, which seems to be-inferred in the introduction which precedes this part of the book.
Who has not known Acadian descendants by the following names: Hebert, Daigre, LeBlanc, Babin, Granger, Comeaux, Theriot, Thibodeaux, Landry, to name only a few? In his decree, the King required all of the families on Belle-Isle to register their complete genealogies back to and including the original French connection. Abbé Casgrain enlisted the aid of Monsieur E. Rameau, whose incisive commentaries on selective family histories at the end are most interesting.
The translation by the writer took many hours of concentrated work. Obscure passages were given as good a translation as possible.

Introduction
When Father Le Loutre who had been one of their priests in Acadia returned to France after his long captivity on the island of Jersey, he continued to help the Acadians who were now in France as best as he could. He did so with the same ardor and perseverance that he had shown in Acadia.
On 8 November 1765, he disembarqued at Belle-Isle-en-Mer, and was followed by 78 Acadian families that the King wished to settle there.
Belle-Isle-en-Mer is a small island located several leagues from the Morbihan Coast. It is divided into four parishes: Le Palais, north central; Bangor, south central; Sauzon, extreme, west; and Locmaria, extreme east. [This web site does not yet have the register for Bangor.]
On their arrival, the Acadians were divided into these four parishes. Each of the 78 families first received a concession of land; then, at the request of Father Le Loutre, the King built them 78 homes and gave each family one horse, I cow, 3 sheep, plus 400 pounds to cover their starting expenses in these new settlements.
In view of making up the registers of the parishes where the Acadians were from (the states of Brittany of which Belle-Isle depended), he ordered in 1767 by decree that sworn depositions from the heads of family be given to trace their origins to France and their relationships.
These registers or genealogical statements would be found again in each of the Belle-Isle parishes. Thanks to being so obliging, the Abbe LeByon, Curé of La Palais, I have been able to execute a copy of the register of his parish and, since then, the others.
The register of the parish of Palais, which will follow is preceded by several notes written by Monsieur Rameau, who made a careful study of that register.

In this register, there are 38 pages of copy: (1) The procedure and decree ordering the registration to be made by the Acadians, on their origin and preparation of the present register; (2) The declarations of the LeBLANC family from page 5 to page 16, in two statements: that of Honoré LeBLANC and that of Joseph LeBLANC dit le MAIGRE; (3) The declarations of the DAIGRE, P. 17; (4) The declarations of the GRANGERS, p. 23; (5) The declaration of Pierre RICHARD, p. 34.
The first thing that struck me in going through the document is that cacti of the informants has retained an idea, otherwise very clear, at least quite vivid, of his ancestors who, came from France
All are able to say who is the first of their ancestors to come from France, often indicating that he came single or married and in which period he arrived. They also say if he was of English or Scotch origin.
Unfortunately, in this register we find no trace of the circumstances that preceded the departure from France: be it the province of origin, the causes of the departure, the details of the trip and the first settlement.
They also show that they carefully kept the tradition of their relationship, and the nominal censuses which we possess telling us how faithful are their remembrances. As for any differences found therein, it is for us to search for some way to correct such errors.
Another notable thing is that it is evident that the different groups of dispersed Acadians corresponded among each other. We already know it by the history of Joseph LEBLANC dit LE MAIGRE and by the letters of Messrs. MAILLARD and MANACH.
The registers constantly indicate a transport to Maryland with his family -- another transport to Boston -- and another death on the Miramichi Coast --another death at sea during the transport to Ile St. Jean in France -- another detention at Halifax, etc.
The most important statements (they take 12 pages of the book) and perhaps the most interesting are those of the LEBLANC family. They furnish all of the genealogy of the LEBLANC from 1660 to 1767, and particularly about Joseph LEBLANC dit LE MAIGRE, whose life was quite adventurous and who married three times.
Incidentally, one finds there with the origin of the LEBLANC, that of the BOURG, the LANDRY, the BABIN, and the DAIGRE, and, afterwards, one finds the history of Joseph LEBLANC dit LE MAIGRE or LE MESGRE, who played an active role from 1740 to-1760. One can see that he is of the type of Jean BOURG dit BELHUMEUR, notary at the Mines in 1730. This Notary, it seems died very old Despite his old age, he had left the Mines in 1755 and was transported to Richibouctou, where he died in 1760. The manuscript says that he was more than 100 years old. That is an evident error. He was born of Francois BOURG, who was himself the son of the first BOURG in Acadia. But it is said in the manuscript that this first BOURG did not arrive in Acadia until after the Treaty of Breda (1667) -- and BOURG BELHUMEUR is but his grandson. On the other hand, if we consult the census of 1671, we see that his name, Alexandre BOURG, is not included among the children. He was not born until about 1680, because, at the Census of 1707, he is then married with several children. He could not have been more than 80 years at his death in 1760.
Another fact found is noteable, that is, the history of an Acadian woman, Marguerite LEBLANC whose husband, Pierre ALAIN (also Acadian) died at Brest in 1744 (?).

On 5 February 1767, before noon, I, Monsieur Jean Marie THEBAUD, Notary and Procurator in the Jurisdiction of the Royal Marquisate of Belle-Isle-en-Mer, having been commissioned to Register the genealogy of the Acadians newly-settled on this island, because of a court decree of 12 January 1767, in virtue of which and for which I have been chosen for this commission by the Acadian residents of the four parishes of Belle-Isle, I have taken the oath according to the terms of the decree before Noble Lucas Durnottays, former lawyer at the Royal Seat d'Auray, in that position because of the absence of the Senechal on 30 January 1767; and on the request of Noble Hilarion ALLAIN, also a lawyer, doing the work of the King's Procurator in this jurisdiction; in presence of Messrs. Jacques Marie CHOBLET, Rector of St. Gerard du Palais parish, of Rev. Louis LE LOUTRE, former Vicar General of the Quebec Diocese, Missionary and Director of the Acadian families settled on this island, and Jacques FRONTEAUX de LACLOIR, the King's Procurator in this jurisdiction of the Royal Marquisate of Belle-Isle-en-Mer. I have begun the said genealogy according to an extract of the Court decree copied at the beginning of the genealogy on the said day, month and year as above.

Extract from the Court decree given at the request of the King's General Procurator concerning the Acadians actually settled at Belle-Isle.

The King's Lawyer-General, has demonstrated that the King's goodness and care of the province having procured the subsistence of one colony of Acadians, presently settled at Belle-Isle, also says it was necessary to assure the condition of the families that composed this colony; that all of the registers of marriages, baptisms and burials, having been lost in the persecution by the English, we cannot make up for that loss but by reestablishing as soon as possible the kinship of these unfortunate fugitives.
The decree of regularity of 11 January 1746 delivered to the parish of Sougeat, gives us a model to propose to the Court. This is to remedy a great fault of a rector who should not have reported the baptisms, marriages and burials on the loose sheets, but did so without any precautions. No true authenticity could be given to those sheets, so much so that the parish of Sougeat was truly without registers. For these causes, the King's Lawyer-General requires that there be provided, and he leaves a writing to that effect. Heard the report of Mr. Desnos DEFOSSES, former councillor to the Court. On this we deliberated.
The court acts on the remonstrances and conclusions of the King's Procurator-General and orders:
I Article I
Two registers will be kept in the ordinary form of baptisms, marriages and burials according to the King's declaration of 9 April; one on bond paper, the other on common paper, which will be numbered from first to last and initialed without cost on each sheet by the Senechal of the Royal Seat of d'Auray, who will name a Scribe to keep notes in presence of the Parish Rector or of his Assistant, and the Missionaries, or one of the two presently at Belle-Isle. All the statements to follow. The said Scribe must take an oath without any cost before the Senechal d'Auray.
Article 11
That the statements of the different heads of families be written, article by article, one after another and without any blanks; that they will be signed by each informant, if he knows how, of which he will make mention; that they will be signed by the Rector or his assistant and the missionaries who are present.
Article III
Each statement will contain all of the relative details as to the condition of the informant, his wife, and his children, with an exact and clear a genealogy as possible: father and mother, their place of birth, their marriages and the births of their children, of the deaths of their parents in direct ascending, descending and collateral lines, with places and dates as well as they can remember.
Article IV
As regards the children who have no father or mother or parents and who are not of age to make the statement themselves, it will be made by whoever had the most knowledge of their family and be in the forms below.
Article V
Of all the facts that the Missionaries will have knowledge of, they will attest to the truth at the end of each statement; that they can even add to the statement information they have and would have been left out by the informants.
Article VI
In the absence of the Missionaries, the statements can be made in presence of the Rector alone or to this Vicar.
Article VII
After all the statements have been made, one of the registers will be sent to the Clerk of the Royal Seat of d'Auray, where the Senechal will send the scribe's notes and will make the assessment needed. It is ordered that the present decree be read publicly in the four parishes of Belle-Isle at the announcements of the High Masses and registered in the book of deliberations. It is to be registered with the Clerk of the Royal Jurisdiction of d'Auray of the King's Procurator. Done in Parliament at Rennes on 12 January 1767. Signed there.

LEBLANC, Acadian living now on this island at Bordustard, St. Gerard du Palais Parish, accompanied by Joseph Simon GRANGER, living in the village of Antoureau, and Armand GRANGER, living in the village of Borstang, both of the same parish; Joseph LEBLANC dit LE MAIGRE of Kervaux and Jean Baptiste GRANGER of Andrestol, said parish, witnesses. Which said LEBLANC stated to us in presence of the said witnesses, to be born of Daniel LEBLANC, his ancestor from France with his second wife and Marie LE BLANC, daughter
from his first marriage (died without children) and all three went to Port Royal, chief town of Acadia, after the Treaty of Breda of 30 July 1661. (This was from Daniel's wife Francoise Gaudet's first marriage. Daniel's marriage to Francoise was his first marriage.)
From this Daniel LEBLANC and his wife are born, Rene, Jacques, Antoine, Pierre at Port Royal; and from them, Daniel and wife, is born Andre LE BLANC. Rene LEBLANC, above, was born at Port Royal and married there to Anne BOURGEOIS; he died at Port Royal in 1752 and his wife in 1735.
From the marriage of Rene LEBLANC were born at Port Royal: Jacques, Francois, Rene, Pierre, Etienne, Joseph, Claude, Marie, Jean Bapiste, and Victoire. Etienne and Joseph were twins and died as infants.
The above Jacques LE LANC, married at Assumption Parish, Riviere de Pisiguit in Acadia, Catherine LANDRY, daughter of Rene LANDRY and Marie BERNARD of Port Royal. Jacques LEBLANC died in that place in October 1755 and Catherine LANDRY, his wife, died same place at Easter 1754.
From the marriage of Jacques LEBLANC and Catherine LANDRY, his wife, were born, in St. Charles of Grande Pre at the Mines in Acadia:
(1) Anne, married to Jean GAUTROT, son of Claude GAUTROT and Marie THERIOT of St. Charles Parish. Jean LE BLANC married Magdeleine THERIOT, son of Germain and Anne BROUSSARD of St. Charles Parish.
(2) Marie LEBLANC married Charles GAUTROT, son of Claude and Marie THERIOT of St. Charles Parish.
(3) Marguerite LEBLANC, aged 60 years married at St. Charles Parish to Joseph GRANGER, son of Rene and Marguerite THERIOT of St. Joseph Parish, Riviere aux Canards of Acadia.
(4) Jacques LEBLANC, aged about 58, married in Holy Family Parish, Riviere of Pisiguit in Acadia, to Marie Josephe FOREST, daughter of Pierre and Cecile RICHARD, presently in Philadelphia, English colony in North America.
(5) Honore LEBLANC, born in St. Charles Parish on 21 October 1710, married at Pisiguit, Assumption Parish, to Marie TRAHAN, daughter of Guillaume and Jacqueline BESNOIST, which Marie TRAHAN died and was buried at Liverpool, England, in June 1763.
(6) Magdelaine LEBLANC, born in 1712 in St. Charles Parish, married Jean Baptiste MELANCON, son of Jean and Marguerite DUGAS of the same parish and transported by the English to Maryland, an English colony.
(7) Francoise LEBLANC, born at St. Charles Parish in 1716 and married there to Charles GRANGER, son of Rene and Marguerite THERIOT of St. Joseph Parish, Riviere aux Canards in Acadia. The said Charles . I GRANGER died at Falmouth, England, on 29 September 1756.
(8) Charles LEBLANC, born in St. Charles Parish in October 1720 and married there to Elizabeth THIBODAULT and Marguerite HEBERT, same parish.
(9) Joseph LEBLANC, born in the month of June 1722 in St. Charles Parish, and married to Jeanne THERIOT, daughter of Bernard and Elizabeth THERIOT of Port Royal and went with his family to Mississippi.
(10) Judith LEBLANC, born in 1724 in St. Charles Parish, married to Germain THIBODAULT, son of Jean and Marguerite HEBERT of the same parish, which Judith LEBLANC and her husband died at Falmouth, England, in 1756.
(11) Simon LEBLANC, born in St. Charles Parish in Panne 1726 and married in first nuptials with Marguerite BOURG, daughter of Jean and Francoise AUCOIN of Sts. Peter and Paul Parish of Cobequid in Acadia; the said BOURG died on 16 October 1756 at Falmouth, England. Simon LE BLANC married in second nuptials at Falmouth, England, to Marie TRAHAN, daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth THERIOT.
Catherine LEBLANC, born in 1728 in St. Charles Parish and married Jean Baptiste BABIN, son of Pierre and Magdelaine BOURG, same parish, and transported by the English to Maryland, an English Colony.

(2) Raymond LEBLANC, born in Assumption Parish in January 1742 and married at Morlaix, St. Mathieu Parish, Diocese of Treguier, with dispensation from the Bishop from third degree of consanguinity, to Marie THERIOT, aged, 29, son of Pierre and Marie Josephe DUPUIS of St. Joseph Parish; Riviere aux Canards in Acadia, living now at Bordustard, this parish of Palais.
(3) Agathe LEBLANC, born at Pisiguit, Assumption Parish, month of October 1744 and married to Paul DAIGRE, son of Olivier DAIGRE and Francise GRANGER of St. Joseph Parish, Riviere aux Canards in Acadia, at Morlaix, St. Mathieu Parish, Diocese of Treguier.
(4) Paul LEBLANC, born at Pisiguit, Assumption Parish in July 1751.
(5) Joseph LEBLANC - born at Pisiguit, Assumption Parish in January 1753, presently living with Paul and their father in Bordustard in this parish.
The said Marie TRAHAN, wife of Honore LE BLANC is daughter of Guillaume TRAHAN and Jacqueline BESNOIST, her father and mother, that she will be reported in the register of genealogies of Locmaria Parish, according to the article of the TRAHAN and for certification of the statement made by Honore LEBLANC, he has signed the present, as well as did Joseph Simon GRANGER, Armand GRANGER, Joseph LEBLANC, Jean Baptiste GRANGER, witnesses, named before in presence and under the signatures of Messrs. On 5 February 1767, in the afternoon, appeared Joseph LEBLANC dit LE MAIGRE, Acadian, 1iving at the village of Kervaux, Palais Parish, accompanied by Honore LE BLANC, living at Bordustard, Joseph SIMON, Village of Antoureau, Armand GRANGER of Borstang, and Jean Baptiste GRANGER of Andrestol, all of the same parish, witnesses to the statement of the said Joseph LEBLANC, issue of Antoine and Marie BOURGEOIS, his parents, both of Port Royal; and the said Antoine LE BLANC was issue of Daniel as reported in folio 2 of the present in the statement of Honore LE BLANC.
From the marriage of Antoine LEBLANC with Marie BOURGEOIS were:
(1) Antoine LEBLANC born at Port Royal about 1685 and married at the Mines, St. Charles Parish to Anne LANDRY, daughter of Antoine LANDRY and Marie THIBODAULT, both died at Boston, English colony about 1710.
(2) Charles - born St. Charles Parish in 1687 and married Marie GAUTROT, daughter of Claude and Marie THERIOT, who died in the same parish in 1737.
(3) Pierre LEBLANC - born same parish about 1689, married to Francoise LANDRY, daughter of Antoine and Marie THIBODAULT and transported by the English to Boston, an English colony.
(4) Marie LEBLANC - born in said parish about 1691, married Antoine LANDRY, son of Antoine and Marie THIBODAULT, transported by the English to Boston and, all died there.
(5) Jean LEBLANC dit DESSAPIND - born same parish about 1693 and married Anne LANDRY, daughter of Rene and Anne THERIOT. This Jean LE BLANC died at Brest in 1744 or 1745 and his wife died at St. Charles Parish in 1740.
(6) Jacques LEBLANC - born same parish in 1695 and married Cecile DUPUIS, daughter of Martin and Marie LANDRY. Jacques LE BLANC was taken by the English at Isle St. Jean, transported by them to France and died in the shipwreck. Mary LANDRY, his wife, is presently at St. Malo.
(7) Joseph LEBLANC dit LE MAIGRE - born at the Mines, St. Charles Parish on 12 March 1697, married Anne BOURG, daughter of Alexandre and Marguerite MELANCON.
(8) Marguerite LEBLANC - born said parish in 1699 and married Pierre ALLAIN, died at Brest in 1744 or 1745. Marguerite LE BLANC is now at St. Pierre and Miquelon.
(9) Rene LEBLANC - born same parish in 1701, married Anne THERIOT, daughter of Germain and Anne RICHARD. Both died in 1759 on the Coasts of Miramichy.
(10) Elizabeth LEBLANC - born same parish in 1703, married Charles DUPUIS, son of Pierre and Magdelaine LANDRY and transported by the English to Maryland, English colony.

Resident of Village of Kervaux, descended from Antoine LeBLANC, son of Daniel LeBLANC, common stock.
Joseph LeBLANC dit LeMAIGRE married at the Mines, St. Charles Parish to Anne BOURG, died at Miquelon on 13 June 1766. Anne BOURG was the daughter of Alexandre BOURG dit BELLE HUMEUR, notary at the Mines and Marguerite MELANCON. The said BOURG died at Richiboucton in 1760 at 102 years. The said MELANCON died at St. Charles Parish in 1745. Alexander BOURG was son of Francois BOURG. Francois BOURG was son of Abraham BOURG who came from France after the Treaty of Breda on 30 July 1661. The said Marguerite MELANCON was the daughter of Pierre who came from Scotland to Port Royal, married same place to Francoise de LATOUR of noble extraction.
From the marriage of Joseph LeBLANC dit LeMAIGRE and Anne BOURG were born:
(1) Joseph - born at the Mines, St. Charles Parish, in April 1722, now living at Kervaux, Palais Parish;
(2) Marguerite - born same place in 1724, married Joseph DUGAST, son of Abraham and Marguerite RICHARD. Marguerite died at Toulouze on Isle Royale in 1752, and Joseph DUGAST is presently at Miquelon with his family;
(3) Simon - born same place in 1726, married same place with dispensation in 1748 to Elizabeth LeBLANC, daughter of Jacques and Catherine LANDRY and transported with their family to Maryland;
(4) Olivier - born same place in 1728, married same place in 1750, with dispensation to Marguerite LeBLANC, daughter of Jacques and Henriette DUPUIS, transported with their family to Maryland;
(5) Alexandre - born same place in 1730, married at Port Toulouze on Isle Royale in 1752 to Marguerite BOUDROT, daughter of Joseph and Marguerite DUGAST, now of Miquelon;
(6) Paul - born same place in 1732, married on the Coast of Miramichy in 1758 to Anne de LaTOUR, daughter of M. de LaTOUR and Marguerite RICHARD, presently at Miquelon;
(7) Anne - born 1740, married at Halifax in Nova Scotia in 1760 to Joseph Nicolas GAUTIER, son of Nicolas and Marguerite ALLAIN, presently at Miquelon.
Joseph LeBLANC married at the Mines, St. Charles Parish in November 1745 to Marie LANDRY, daughter of Pierre, died in Maryland in 1756, who was issue of another Pierre and Catherine BROUSSARD. This Pierre LANDRY was son of Rene who came from France with his wife, Marie BERNARD, settled at Port Royal and died there.
Marie Babin died in Maryland in 1756, daughter of Vincent and Magdelaine THERIOT, both from Pigiguit. Vincent BABIN was son of Antoine who came from France with is wife, Marie MERCIER, settled at Port Royal and died there.
From the marriage of Pierre LANDRY and Marie BABIN were born at Piziquit, Holy Family Parish:
(1) Marie - wife of Joseph LeBLANC, resident of Kervaux, in 1727 and died same place on 24 February 1751;
(2) Ursule - born same place in 1730, married with dispensation to Jean LANDRY, son of Abraham and Marie BLANCHARD, transported to Maryland;
(3) Joseph - born same place in 1742 and transported as a boy to Maryland.
>From the marriage of Joseph LeBLANC and Marie LANDRY were born:
(1) Joseph - born at the Mines, St. Charles Parish, on 9 September 1747;
(2) Simon - born same place on 5 January 1748. These 2 children are living with their father at Kervaux;
(3) Jean Baptiste - born at Pigiguit, Holy Family Parish in 1750, transported as a boy to Maryland.
Joseph LeBLANC, above, married in second nuptials at the Mines, St. Charles Parish to Marguerite BABIN, daughter of the deceased Charles BABIN and Marguerite DUPUIS, who died at Southampton in 1756 and all children of the second marriage.
Joseph LeBLANC married in third nuptials at Southampton on 21 November 1761 to Angelique DAIGRE, born at the Mines in 1735 of Bernard and Angelique RICHARD, son of Bernard, of another Bernard and Marie BOURG. This last Bernard DAIGRE descended from Jean DAIGRE who came from France and Marie GAUDET of Port Royal and both died there.
Angelique RICHARD was the daughter of Pierre and Marguerite LANDRY. Pierre RICHARD was born of Rene dit SANS SOUCY, who came from France, married at Port Royal to Marie BLANCHARD and both died there.
From the marriage of Bernard DAIGRE and Angelique RICHARD were born at the Mines, St. Charles Parish:
(1) Marie Josephe - born 1717, married Charles GRANGER, sons of Jacques and Marie GIROUARD, transported with their family to Maryland;
(2) Pierre - born 1719, married Magdelaine GAUTROT, daughter of Pierre and Marie BIGEAU, the said Pierre DAIGRE died at Southampton in 1756 and Magdelaine GAUTROT is now at St. Malo with his family;

Antoine DUPUIS was born at the Mines, St. Charles Parish in 1699 and died at Riviere aux Canards in March 1747, and was the son of Martin, who came from France and married at Port Royal to Marie LANDRY; both died at said place. Marie Josephe DUGAST was born at Cobiquit, Sts. Peter and Paul Parish in 1703 of Joseph and Claire BOURG. Joseph DUGAST was son of Claude DUGAS and Marie BOURGEOIS of Port Royal and both died there. Francoise Ozide DUPUIS died at Falmouth on 22 November 1756.

Rene LANDRY was son of another Rene, who came from France with his wife Marie BERNARD, settled at Port Royal where both died. Marie MELANCON was born at the Mines, St. Charles PARISH in 1699, died at Southampton in 1756, son of Philippe MELANCON and Marie DUGAST of St. Charles Parish. Philippe MELANCON was issue of Pierre, who left England and married, abjuration made at Port Royal, to Anne Marie MIUS and both died at the Mines, St. Charles Parish. From the second marriage was born at Falmouth, Joseph Firmin Clement DAIGRE on 6 January 1759. Marguerite LANDRY, wife in the second marriage of Honore DAIGRE was the widow in a first marriage of Cyprien THERIOT, born at Riviere aux Canards, in 1720, son of Claude and Agnes AUCOIN. Claude THERIOT died there in October 1752 and was the son of another Claude and Marie GAUTROT of Port Royal. Claude THERIOT descended from Jean, who came from France. Agnes AUCOIN, born at Riviere aux Canards, died at Falmouth in October 1756 and was the daughter of Martin, who came from France and Marie GAUDET; both died at Riviere aux Canards.

Jean TRAHAN, born same place in 1697, was transported to Boston, and was son of Jean and Marie BOUDROT of Port Royal; both died at Riviere aux Canards. Jean TRAHAN was son of Guillaume, who came from France, married at Port Royal to Magdelaine BOUSI and both died there. Marie HEBERT was born at Riviere aux Canards in 1699 of Etienne and Anne COMEAU. Etienne 'Was son of another Etienne HEBERT, who came from France with his wife, Marie GAUDET, settled at Port Royal and died there.

Rene RICHARD was son of another Rene dit SAN SOUCI, who came from France, married at Port Royal to Magdeleine BLANCHARD and both died there. Magdeleine GIROUARD died at Port Royal in 1752 and was the daughter of Jacques and Anne GAUTROT, Jacques GIROUARD is issue ofanother Jacques dit La VARANNE, who came from France with his wife Jeanne AUCOIN, who settled at Port Royal and both died there.

Francoise DAIGRE, married in first marriage at Riviere aux Canard, St. Joseph Parish on 15 May 1748 to Simon Joseph THERIOT, born same place in 1707 of Claude and Agnes AUCOIN. Claude THERIOT died said place in October 1752, was the son of Claude and Marie GAUTROT of Port Royal and both died there. Claude THERIOT was issue of Jean, who came from France, settled at Port Royal and died there. Agnes AUCOIN died at Falmouth in October 1756 and was the daughter of Martin who came from France and Marie GAUDET, settled at Riviere aux Canards and both died there.
From the marriage of Francoise DAIGRE with Simon Joseph THERIOT were born at Riviere aux Canards, St. Joseph Parish:
(1) Paul - born Mary 1749;
(2) Elisabeth - born March 1753, she and Paul living with their mother at Kbellec.

Statement of Mons. l'Abbé LeLOUTRE, former Vicar General of the Diocese of Quebec, Canada
On 2 March 1767, Mons. LeLOUTRE, stated that the Acadians put on this island were transported by the English to other English colonies in October 1755. That from these colonies, they were transferred to England and dispersed in various places of the kingdom during the year 1756; that in 1763, after the Treaty of Peace, they were transported to France on the King's flatboats and placed in different seaports. In 1765 during the month of October they came to this Island by order of the Duke of Choiseul, Minister of the Navy, who has truly affirmed and signed after the reading on the day and year as before.

Since the publication of the parish register of Palais (Belle-Isle-en-Mer), and which completed Volume 2 of Unpublished Documents of French Canada Mr. Rameau has sent me the two registers of Locmaria and Sauzon, which I copied last winter and which I left in his care for study. The following letter of Mr. Rameau explains the kind of work he did to complete these registers. This precious work, which will be published after the registers themselves, gives new light on the origins of Acadian colonization

... I have studied these documents with great care in collating and comparing them to the censuses, the Church Acts of Port Royal and other documents which I have at my disposition, so as to gather all of the emigrant families and the individual emigrants who came from France to Acadia. In this mass of people, I have tried to distinguish the different periods of their arrival in Acadia, forcing me to group together the emigrants who arrived at the same time, showing evidence of the diverse kinds of emigrants who formed the Acadian colony.
I made a particular point to specify the families that I believe belonged to the earliest times, that is to say, from Charles de la Tour to just after Razilly, about 1640; and I have recounted their history in some detail.
I have endeavored to give some summarized information on the materials contained in these declarations and the points found:
1. as regards the transfer of various categories of Acadians who were sent to Europe:
2. as regards their stay in England and the incidents produced;
3. as regards genealogical materials found there for the Acadian families from 1714 to 1780, that is to say, from the last census by name. -- That period constituted a veritable gap in the history of Acadian families, and one finds there the indication of a great number of families transported to the United States and to the Antilles.
This work has been long and laborious to the point that I have not yet completed the 4th register, that of Bangor. But I am sending you for the moment:
1. The registers of Locmaria and Sauzon
2. The work done on grouping the Acadian emigrées.
I will send you shortly the Bangor register - and the rest of the observations that I have made on all the registers.

The present register containing 26 lists on stamped paper, the first and last included, has been numbered and dated by me, Noble Master Francois Lucas DUMOTTAYS, former lawyer, in the absence of the Senechal D'Auray, to serve as a registry of the baptisms and marriages performed for the Acadians in Locmaria parish during 1767, together with the genealogy of the Acadians now living at Belle-Isle. On Thursday, 2 February 1767, 1, Jean Marie THEBAUD, notary and procurator of the Royal Marquisate of Belle-Isle-en-Mer, having been appointed to the registration of the genealogies of the Acadians newly-settled on this island, order by decree of the Court of 12 January last, in virtue of which decree and of my choice made by the said Acadians of the four island parishes, have taken an oath before Noble Lord Lucas DUMOTTAYS, former lawyer at the Royal Seat of Auray, in the absence of the Seneschel himself, at the remonstrance of Noble Lord Hilarion ALLAIN, lawyer at the said seat and substitute for the Senechal of Auray, on 3 February; and proceeding to the execution of the said decree. I have opened the present register today in presence of the venerable and reverend Joseph BLIGUET, Rector of Locmaria parish, and Jean Louis LeLOUTRE, former Vicar General of the diocese of Quebec, missionary and director of the Acadian families, and Mr. Jacques FRONTEAUX de LACLOA, the King's Procurator in this jurisdiction. Emilien SEGOILOT, and Charles GRANGER, all Acadians living on this island, said parish of Locmaria and Palais, witnesses to the present statement. Before whom the said Pierre TRAHANT, has declared himself to be issue of Guillaume TRAHANT, his grandfather having come from France after the Treaty of Breda on 31 July 1661, and who married Magdeleine LEBRUN at Port Royal, both of whom died at Port Royal. From the marriage of Guillaume TRAHANT and Magdeleine LEBRUN, his wife, the following were born at Port Royal:
1) Guillaume TRAHANT - father of the informant, married at Port Royal to Jacqueline BENOIST, daughter of Martin and Marie CHAUSSEGROS, both from France, who died at Port Royal;
2) Jean TRAHANT - born at Port Royal, married there to Marie BOUDROT, daughter of Charles and Marie CORPORONT of Port Royal, both died there;
3) Alexandre TRAHANT - born at Port Royal and married there to Marie PELLERIN;

Marguerite LeBLANC died childless in Liverpool in 1759. Pierre married a third time at Liverpool on 12 May 1760 to Magdeleine VINCENT, widow of Jean Baptiste DUON; Pierre TRAHANT and his wife lived in the village of Goueland, Bangor parish;
4) Magdelaine TRAHANT - born at Pigiguit in October 1725 and married there to Alexis BRAULT, son of Alexandre and Marie DUGAST, transported by the English to Maryland, an English colony.
5) Anne TRAHANT, born at Pigiguit in November 1727, married in Holy Family Parish to Brigitte LANDRY, son of Pierre and Marguerite FOREST and transported to Maryland;
6) Marguerite TRAHANT - born at Pigiguit in August 173 1, married Joseph LeBLANC, from the village of Kledan, Sauzon parish and died at Liverpool in July 1757;

Jean HEBERT, married in 1722 in the said parish to Marguerite TRAHANT, daughter of Alexandre of Port Royal and died at St. Jean Island in 1750. Marie PELLERIN died in Acadia on 27 August 1756. Allain HEBERT left England with his wife for Cayenne where they died. The children from the second marriage were:
1) Pascal HEBERT - son of Jean and Marguerite TRAHANT, born in Assumption Parish in 1755, married at Liverpool in England to Francoise TRAHANT, daughter of Pierre and Jeanne DAIGRE of the Riviere aux Canards, St. Joseph Parish. Pascal went to Cayenne and with TRAHANT went from Cayenne to France and is at present in the village of Calastren, Bangor Parish.
2) Agnes HEBERT, born at Pigiguit in the said parish in 1740, married on 28 January 1758 at Liverpool to Joseph LeBLANC, living on this island, Village of Kledan, Sauzon Parish.
3) Arnable HEBERT, born same place in 1746 and married at Liverpool to Marie RICHARD, daughter of Pierre, living on this island, Klebec village, Palais Parish, and Marie Josephe LeBLANC, died at Liverpool. From this marriage were born two
children:
1) Marie HEBERT - on 9 January 1764 at Morlaix, St. Matthew Parish, Diocese of Trequier;
2) Brigitte HEBERT, born on a flatboat on which they came to this island on 29 September 1765 and baptized the next day at Morlaix, St. Matthew Parish, Diocese of Trequier.

Joseph TRAHANT died at Liverpool and Elizabeth, his wife, in Virgine. Joseph TRAHANT, son of Jean TRAHANT and Marguerite BOUDROT, also died in the parish of St. Joseph. Jean TRAHANT, issue of Guillaume TRAHANT, came from France and married Magdeleine LeBRUN at Port Royal. Both died at Port Royal. Marguerite BOUDROT, issue of Charles and Magdeleine BOURG, died at Pigiguit, Holy Family Parish.
From the marriage of Jean Baptiste TRAHANT with Magdeleine Modeste HEBERT were born two children, that is: 1) Jean Baptiste at Liverpool on 3 April 1761, and 2) Jean Michel on 26 August 1764 at Morlaix, St. Matthew Parish, diocese of Treguier; Jean HEBERT, informant, married at Liverpool on 8 October 1763 to Esther COURTENAY, English, aged 57 to 58 years old.

On this 13 February 1767, in the afternoon, appeared Joseph POIRIER, living on this island, in Kzo, Locmaria parish, accompanied by Charles GAUTROT, Miniac DAIGRE, Emilien SEGOILOT and Charles GRANGER, all living on this island, Parish of Locmaria and Palais, before which witnesses Joseph POIRIER stated that he was born in Beaubassin Parish in Acadia on 5 October.1709 of Francois POIRIER, deceased of the same parish, and Marie ACHE, who died at Ile St. Jean; Francois was issue of Michel POIRIER, who left France and died at Beaubassin; Marie ACHE was issue of Michel ACHE and Anne CORMIER, both deceased on Ile St. Jean in North America, Diocese of Quebec. Joseph POIRIER married in first nuptials at Beaubassin on 26 September 1746 to Elizabeth MATHIEU, who died in the same place without children in the marriage.
The same Joseph POIRIER married a second time, same place, on 6 October 1748 to Ursule RENAULT, born at the Mines, St. Charles Parish, in 1727, daughter of Louis, died at sea at Cape St. Louis, the Acadian Coast, which RENAULT had left France, and Marie LEPIERRE, transported to Boston by the English. Marie LAPIERRE, issue of Jacques and Marie RAIMBAULT left France and died at Beaubassin.

Peter and Paul Parish of Cobequit in Acadia on 6 March 1767 of Joseph ROBICHAULT and Claire LeBLANC. Joseph ROBICHAULT, issue of Charles ROBICHAULT, deceased at Port Royal. Claire LeBLANC was issue of Andre and Jeanne DUGAST who died at the Mines, St. Charles Parish. The said Joseph ROBICHAULT, died at St. Servan at St. Malo and Claire LeBLANC is alive and living in the place St. Servan.

On the said day appeared Alexis and Jean DOUARON, brothers, living at the Village of Botereau, Locmaria Parish, accompanied by four witnesses herein after named, before whom the informants have said: Alexis DOUARON was born at Pigiguit, Assumption Parish on 29 June 1724 of Louis DOUARON, died at the said place, and Marguerite BARIOT, who died at Isle St. Jean; Louis DOUARON was issue of Charles DOUARON, died at Pigiguit, Holy Family Parish. Marguerite BARIOT was issue of Nicolas BARIOT and Martine HEBERT from France, and died in Assumption Parish. Alexis DOUARON married in first nuptials at the said place on 12 September 1743 to Marguerite THIBODAULT, daughter of Alexander THIBODAULT and Francoise BENOIST, of said parish. The said Alexandre THIBODAULT and his daughter Marguerite, wife of Alexis DOUARON, died at Ile St. Jean. Alexandre THIBODAULT was issue of Pierre THIBODAULT and Marie BOURG, who died in Assumption Parish. Francoise BENOIST was transported by the English to Maryland, an English colony, was issue of Pierre BENOIST, who died in Holy Family Parish. From the marriage of Alexis DOUARON and Marguerite THIBODAULT were two children hereinafter named:
1) Alexis Gregoire-- born in Assumption Parish on 15 April 1744;
2) Josephat -- born same place on 21 November 1746.
Alexis DOUARON married in second nuptials in St. Paul Parish, Ile St. Jean, on 20 July 1758 to Magdeleine Josephe BOURG (--missing--) and Marguerite HEBERT of Cobeguit, Sts. Pierre and Paul Parish. Francois BOURG died at the hospital in St. Malo, issue of Pierre BOURG and Marguerite BLANCHARD, who died at Cobeguit. Marguerite HEBERT who died in Sts. Peter and Paul Parish, was the daughter of Jean HEBERT and Marguerite LANDRY; both died in the same place. Of this second marriage were born the children hereinafter named:
1) Jean Charles -- in St. Enogat Parish, Diocese of St. Malo on 13 August 1760;
2) Magdeleine -- born same place on 17 January 1763;
3) Marie Rose -- born on 24 October 1765 at Palais in St. Gerard du Palais.
Jean DOUARON, brother german of Alexis, was issue of the same grandparents (parents) and stated to have been born at Pigiguit, Assumption Parish, in March 1730 and married in Sts. Peter and Paul Parish on Ile St. Jean on 20 January 1752 to Anne THIBODAULT, born at Pigiguit, Assumption Parish on 8 January 1731 of Alexandre THIBODAULT and Francoise BENOIST of the said parish. Alexandre THIBODAULT was issue of Pierre THIBODAULT and Marie BOURG, and Francoise BENOIST was issue of Martin BENOIST and Marie CHAUSSEGROS, both from France, and who died in Acadia. From this marriage were born the following children:
1) Jean Baptiste -- born on 12 April 1760 in St. Enogat Parish, Diocese of St. Malo;

On 14 February 1767 appeared Emilien SEGOILOT, planter, living in thevillage of Borbren, Locmaria Parish, assisted by Charles GAUTROT, MiniacDAIGRE, Charles GRANGER and Jean GRANGER, all Acadians living on thisisland, before which witnesses the said Emilien SEGOILOT stated he had been born on 15 April 1713 at Chatelnault, Sts. Peter and Paul Parish, Diocese of Autun; son of Dominique SEGOILOT and Marie BOULET. Emilien SEGOILOT, former sergeant in the troops of the garrison at Louisbourg, at present disabled, has stated he was married on Ile St. Jean at Port La Joie on I September 1752 to Elizabeth Blanche LARACHE, daughter of Francois and Anne Marie VINCENT. Elizabeth Blanche LAVACHE died at the said place on I August 1753. Francois LAVACHE died at Boulogne on 12 March 1760. Marie VINCENT, issue of Pierre and Marie TRAHANT live at the moment at St. Malo.
>From the first marriage of Emilien SEGOILOT was born at Ile St. Jean, Sts. Peter and Paul Parish, Diocese of Quebec a son: Francois Dominique on 31 July 1753. The said Emilien SEGOILOT married in second nuptials at Port La Joie on Isle St. Jean on I September 1755 to Marguerite NAQUIN, daughter of Jacques and Jeanne MELANCON of Cobeguit. Jacques NAQUIN was issue of Jean Baptiste and Marguerite BOURG, and Marguerite BOURG, the daughter of Jean and Marguerite MARTIN.
The said Jeanne MELANCON, daughter of Pierre and Marie BLANCHARD, and Pierre MELANCON son of another Pierre MELANCON and Anne Marie MIUS, and the said Marie BLANCHARD was issue of Martin and Anne LeBLANC. Jacques NAQUIN died at St. Malo on 23 January 1759.

She was assisted by Charles GAUTROT, Miniac DAIGRE, Charles GRANGER and Jean GRANGER, all Acadians living on this island, before which witnesses she stated that she had been born at Cobeguit, Sts. Peter and Paul Parish, on 3 November 1718 of Charles THERIOT. Charles THERIOT was issue of Germain THEREIOT. Germain descended from Francois THERIOT of Port Royal and died there. Charles THERIOT was a prisoner at Louisbourg and died in the crossing. Anastasie THERIOT, was the daughter of Angelique DOUARON and Angelique was issue of Charles DOUARON of France and Francoise GODDET. Francoise GODET was the daughter of Jean and Marie COMEAU, both of whom died at Port Royal.
Anastasie THERIOT married at Pigiguit, Assumption Parish in 1738 to Francois THIBODAULT, who died in Liverpool, England, at 48 years. Francois was the issue of Philippe THIBODAULT, transported to Boston in New England. Philippe THIBODAULT came from Pierre THIBODAULT and Pierre descended from another Pierre who came from France, all who died in Acadia.

Jean THERIOT was issue from another Jean THERIOT and . Marie DAIGRE was issue of Olivier and Marie BLANCHARD of Port Royal. Oliver DAIGRE died in that place; Marie BLANCHARD died in England.
Jean Baptiste THERIOT married in England on 23 October 1760 to Marie Marguerite GRANGER, born 8 January 1741 at Riviere aux Canards, St. Joseph Parish, of Jean Baptiste GRANGER, issue of Rene GRANGER and Marguerite THERIOT, both of whom died at Riviere aux Canards. Rene GRANGER descended from Laurent GR-ANGER, born at Plymouth, England and married at Port Royal, after having made objuration, to Marie LANDRY of Port Royal, and both died in that place. Marie Magdeleine LANDRY was issue of Jean LANDRY and Magdeleine MELANCON, both transported to Boston. Jean LANDRY issued from Antoine and Marie THIBODAULT. Both died at the Mines, St. Charles Parish; and Magdeleine MELANCON, issue of Philippe and Marie DUGAST, both of whom died in St. Charles Parish.
Jean Baptiste THERIOT said that, in addition, Marguerite GRANGER, his wife, has three brothers and one sister, issue of the marriage of Jean Baptiste GRANGER and Magdeleine LANDRY, their parents. These are: Simon Joseph, born at Riviere aux Canards on 3 March 1745; Pierre Simon, born same place on 8 October 1750; Jean Baptiste, born same place in 1752; and Anne, born same place in 1743, who married Chrysostome TRAHANT, of the village of Klo, Bangor Parish.

On 15 February 1767, appeared Jean MELANCON, living in the village of Cosquet, Locmaria Parish, accompanied by Emilien SEGOILOT, Miniac DAIGRE, Charles GRANGER and Jean GRANGER, all Acadians living on this island, witnesses to the present statement, before whom Jean MELANCON had declared he was born at Port Royal on 14 September 1706 of Ambroise (died at Quebec in 1756) and Francoise BOURG (died at Port Royal in 1714).
The said Ambroise MELANCON was issue of Charles MELANCON, left from England, married, after objuration, to Marie DUGAST at Port Royal and both died there. Francoise BOURG was born of Bernard (came from France) and married Francoise BRUN of Port Royal; both died in that place.
Jean MELANCON married at the Mines, St. Charles Parish in November 1763 to Cecile AUCOIN daughter of Martin and Catherine THERIOT; Martin AUCOIN was issue of another Mar-tin, who came from France and Marie GAUDET of Port Royal, both of whom died at Riviere aux Canards, St. Joseph Parish. Catherine THERIOT was issue of Francois THERIOT and Anne BRUN, both died at Port Royal.
From the marriage of Jean MELANCON and Cecile AUCOIN were born at the Mines, St. Charles Parish:

Agnes LeBLANC was the daughter of Francoise LANDRY, wife of Pierre LeBLANC, who died at the Mines and Francoise LANDRY was issue of Antoine and Marie THIBODAULT and both died in St. Charles Parish. Pierre GAUTROT, married a second time to Elizabeth THERIOT from St. Pierre and Miquelon, and they live there.

1) Jean Charles -- born at St. Malo, St. Servan Parish on 21 July 1764;

Marie Ozinde -born in Assumption Parish in 1745, married in Ploichard, Diocese of St. Malo to Marin BOURG, son of Jean BOURG and Francoise BENOIST, Sts. Peter and Paul Parish of Cobequit, living now at Ploichard.

The Acadians placed on this island had been transported by the English to Boston and other English colonies in October, 1755, then to England and scattered in various parts of the Kingdom during 1756. After the Treaty of Peace and in 1763, they were transported to France on the King's flat-bottomed boats and placed in different seaports. In October 1765, they came to this island by order of the Duke of Choiseul, Minister of the Admiralty.
That this be certified as true, I signed it after the reading.

On 28 February 1767, appeared Louis COURTIN, farmer, living in the village of Arpens de Triboutons, Parish of Sauzon, who in presence of Simon P. DAIGRE, Joseph BABIN, Jean Baptiste LeBLANC and Armand GRANGER, all Acadians living on this island, stated he was born in St. Nicolas de Prete Vales, County of Dunois, Diocese of Blois of Jean Baptiste and, Marie Anne PELLEREAU (born at Blois, St. Honoré Parish, married at Cork, Ireland, on 15 September 1761 to Marie Josephe MARTIN (born at Port Royal in 1740) of Michel MARTIN and Magdeleine GIROUARD. Michel MARTIN issued from Etienne and Marie COMEAU, and Etienne issued from Rene MARTIN, who came from France and married at Port Royal to Marguerite LANDRY. Both died there. Madeleine GIROUARD was born at Port Royal of Guillaume and Anne RENAUCHET. Guillaume issued from Jacques GIROUARD and Anne GAUTROT of Port Royal and Jacques GIROUARD descended from another Jacques who came from France with Jeanne AUCOIN, his wife; both died at Port Royal.
From the said marriage of Michel MARTIN and Magdeleine GIROUARD were born at Port Royal:

Claude PITRE married at Cobeguit, Sts. Peter and Paul Parish, on 12 June 1724 to Elizabeth GUREIN, born at Cobeguit on 29 September 1704 of Jerome GUERIN and Elisabeth AUCOIN. Jerome GUERIN issued from another Jerome GUERIN, who came from France and married Marie BLANCHARD. Jerome died at Port Royal, Marie at Beaubassin. Elizabeth AUCOIN was born at Beaubassin of Martin, who came from France and married at Port Royal to Marie GAUDET. Both died there. From the first marriage of Claude PITRE with Elizabeth GUERIN, was born at Cobeguit, Sts. Peter and Paul Parish, on 17 December 1726 a boy named Joseph PITRE, who married there to Anne BOURG, daughter of Ambroise BOURG and Elizabeth MELANCON, from Ile St. Jean in North America, Bishopric of Quebec. Elizabeth GUERIN died at sea with the rest of her family in 1758 on an English vessel that shipwrecked transporting a part of the Acadian families from Isle St. Jean to Europe.
Claude PITRE married a second time, in Liverpool, England, on 9 May 1760, to Magdeleine DAROIS, born at the Mines, St. Charles Parish, in 1715 of Jerome, who came from France, and married at Port Royal to Marie
GAREAU and died on Petkoudiak River in Beaubassin Bay. Marie GAREAU died in Virginia, the daughter of Dominique, who came from France and married at Port Royal to Anne GAUDET. Both died in that place. Madeleine DAROIS married in first nuptials at the Mines, St. Charles Parish, in 1749 to Alexis TRAHANT, born at Pigiguit, Assumption Parish in 1727 of Alexandre TRAHANT of Port Royal and Marguerite LeJEUNE. Alexandre TRAHANT was issue of another Alexandre of Port Royal and married there to Helene PELLERIN. Alexandre TRAHANT descended from Guillaume (from France) and Magdeleine BRUN; both died at Port Royal. Marguerite LeJEUNE was born at Port Royal in 1698 of Pierre and Marie THIBODAULT of Port Royal. Pierre LeJEUNE was issue of another Pierre who came from France and married at Port Royal, died there.
From the marriage of Magdeleine DAROIS and Alexis TRANT (died at Liverpool in July 1756) was born at Pigiguit, Assumption Parish on 10 August 1752, Paul TRAHANT, only son of this marriage and living in the village of Arpens de Triboutons, Sauzon Parish, with his mother and father-in-law Claude PITRE.

DAIGRE, Joseph BABIN, Jean Baptiste LeBLANC and Armand GRANGER, witnesses, all Acadians living on this island, that Silvestre TRAHANT was born in Pigiguit, Assumption Parish in 1724 of Jean (born in the same place) in 1698 and Charlotte COMEAU. Jean TRAHANT is the son of Guillaume and Jacqueline BENOIST. Guillaume issued from another Guillaume, who came from France, married at Port Royal to Magdeleine BRUN. Both died there. Charlotte COMEAU was the daughter of Jean and Francoise HEBERT of Port Royal. Jean COMEAU issued from another Jean, who came from France, married and died at Port Royal. Francoise HEBERT was the daughter of Etienne HEBERT who was from France with his wife Marie GODET. They settled at Port Royal where they died.

LeBLANC and Louis COURTIN, all Acadians living on this island, witnesses, has declared that he was born in Acadia at Riviere aux Canards, St. Joseph Parish, on 1 January 1741 of Rene and Angelique COMEAU of Pigiguit, Holy Family Parish. René GRANGER is issue from another Rene born at Port Royal, where he married Marguerite THERIOT. The said René GRANGER descended from Laurent GRANGER who left Plymouth, England, married at Port Royal, abjuration made, to Marie LANDRY and both died there. Angelique COMEAU was born at Pigiguit, daughter of Etienne and Marie FOREST, Etienne COMEAU was the son of Jean and Francoise HEBERT of Port Royal, and Jean COMEAU the son of another COMEAU from France and his wife, who settled at Port Royal and died there.

LeBLANC, Louis COURTIN and Pierre DOUCET, witnesses, all Acadians living on this island who states he was born at Riviere aux Canards, St. Joseph Parish on 15 August 1735 of Olivier and Francoise GRANGER. Olivier DAIGRE was born at Port Royal in 1703 and died at Falmouth on 8 October 1756. He was from another Olivier DAIGRE and Jeanne BLANCHARD, both of whom died at Port Royal. Olivier DAIGRE was an issue of Jean DAIGRE who left France and married at Port Royal to Marie GAUDET and both died in that place. Francoise GRANGER was born at Port Royal in January 1701, daughter of René GRANGER and Marguerite THERIOT. The said Rene GRANGER died at Riviere aux Canards in November 1745, issue of Laurent, born at Plymouth, England, and married, abjuration made, at Port Royal to Marie LANDRY of that place. Both died there. Marguerite THERIOT was born at Port Royal and died at Riviere aux Canards in 1740. She was the daughter of Bonaventure THERIOT and Jeanne BOUDROT (died at Port Royal) and Bonaventure THERIOT died at the Mines, St. Charles Parish.

Canards; Denis BOUDROT issue of Charles and Marie CORPORON; Charles BOUDROT issue of Michel BOUDROT, who came from France with Michelle AUCOIN, his wife, settled at Port Royal and died there. Marguerite COMEAU was born at Port Royal of Augustin and Jeanne LEVRON; Augustin COMEAU issue of Jean COMEAU and Francoise HEBERT of Port Royal. Jean COMEAU descended from another Jean COMEAU, who came from France with his wife, settled at Port Royal and they died there. From the marriage of Jean BOUDROT and Marguerite COMEAU married at Port Royal in 1734, were born at Pigiguit, Assumption Parish:

Pierre LeBLANC, married at Liverpool in January 1758 to Francoise TRAHANT, born at Riviere aux Canards in 1737 of Joseph TRAHANT (died at Liverpool in April 1757) and Elizabeth THERIOT (died at the Virgines in 1756). Joseph TRAHANT was the son of Jean and Marguerite BOUDROT. On 5 March 1767 appeared Jean LeBLANC, living in the village of Bernantec, Sauzon Parish, who, in the presence of Joseph BABIN, Louis COURTIN, Pierre DOUCET and Simon P. DAIGRE, all Acadians on this island, witnesses, and has said that he was born at the Mines, St. Charles Parish, in July 1703 of Jean and Jeanne BOURGEOIS. Jean LeBLANC is the son of Andre and Jeanne DUGAST; André is the son of Daniel LeBLANC, who left France with his wife and the two died at Port Royal; Jeanne BOURGEOIS, daughter of Guillaume and Anne MARTIGNON, daughter of Mr. MARTIGNON from France, married at Pentagoet; Guillaume BOURGEOIS descended from Jacques who came from France with his wife. He was a surgeon at Port Royal. Both died there.

4) Pierre - born at the Mines in 1709 and married there to Marguerite GAUTROT, daughter of Charles and Magdelaine BLANCHARD. Pierre LeBLANC died at Boulogne-en-Mer and Marguerite GAUTROT is presently at Isle-d'Aix with her family;
5) Sylvain - born same place in 1721, married at Pigiguit, Assumption Parish, to Anne LEPRINCE, daughter of Antoine and Anne TRAHANT; the said Sylvain died at Liverpool in 1756 and Anne LEPRINCE is living in Morlaix with her family;
6) Claude - born same place in 1723, living now at Bordicado, Sauzon parish;
7) Marie Joseph - born at the Mines on 4 April 1729, married Felix BOUDROT and living at the village of Borderun, Sauzon Parish;
8) Anne - born same place in 1731 and married to Joseph BIGEAUX, son of Joseph and Josette LANDRY, transported with their family to the Virgines.
Jean LeBLANC dit Derico married in June 1726 to Francoise BLANCHARD, born in St. Charles Parish in May 1705 of Rene BLANCHARD of Cobequit and Anne LANDRY of Port Royal; René BLANCHARD issued from Martin and Marie LeBLANC and Martin BLANCHARD descended from Guillaume, who left France with his wife Huguet POIRIER, settled at Port Royal and died there; Anne LANDRY was issue of René LANDRY, who came from France with Marie BERNARD, his wife. Both died at Port Royal.

Jean LeBLANC is the son of André and Jeanne DUGAST; André is the son of Daniel LeBLANC, who left France with his wife and the two died at Port Royal; Jeanne BOURGEOIS, daughter of Guillaume and Anne MARTIGNON, daughter of Mr. MORTIGNON from France, married at Pentagoet; Guillaume BOURGEOIS descended from Jacques who came from France with his wife. DAIGRE, all Acadians living on this island, witnesses, stated that he was born at Pigiguit, Assumption Parish, on I May 1731 of Joseph LeBLANC and Magdelaine LA LANDE; Joseph LeBLANC, father of the informant, brother-german to Jean LeBLANC of the village of Bernantec in Sauzon, is issue of the same ancestors. Magdelaine LA LANDE daughter of Pierre dit Bon Appetit, came from France, was a soldier at Port Royal and married there Magdeleine LAVERGNE, daughter of Jacques, who came from France with his wife; both died at Port Royal.

Joseph LeBLANC, informant, married at Liverpool on I February 1757 to Marie Modeste HEBERT, born at Pigiguit, Assumption Parish, on 16 April 1736, daughter of Joseph HEBERT and Magdelaine TRAHANT. Joseph HEBERT was the son of Jean and Magdelaine DUGUST. Jean HEBERT issued from Emmanuel and Andree BRUN; and Emmanuel HEBERT came from Etienne, who came from France with his wife Marie GODET, and set up at Port Royal. Both died there. Magdelaine TRAHANT was born at the Mines, St. Charles Parish, in 1704 of Alexandre TRAHANT and Marie PELLERIN. Alexander TRAHANT was issue of Guillaume, who came from France and married at Port Royal to Magdelaine BRUN; both died there. Marie PELLERIN, daughter of Jacques, who came from Quebec, and Marie COLBEC, also of Quebec, married at Beaubassin.

DAIGRE, all Acadians living in this island, witnesses, who stated that he was born at the Mines, St. Charles Parish, in October 1723, brother-german to Jean LeBLANC of Bernantec, and issue from the same grandparents, that he married at Cobeguit in October 1748 to Marie Joseph LONGUE EPEE (born same place in August 1725, daughter of Louis and Ann BROSSEAU; Louis LONGUE EPEE was the son of Louis who came from France and married at Port Royal to Magdelaine RAMBAULT. Ann BROSSEAU, daughter of Jean B SSEAU of France married at Port Royal to Gabriel FOREST and both died there.

Pierre TRAHANT, father of Magdelaine TRAHANT, wife of the declarant, is now living in Borderhouat, Locmaria Parish. From this marriage were born at Pigiguit, Assumption Parish:

b) Marguerite Olive - born 25 July 1754. Marguerite TRAHANT died at Liverpool on 13 December 1757.
The said Joseph LeBLANC married in second nuptials on 28 January 1758 to Anne HEBERT, daughter of Jean and the deceased Marguerite TRAHANT. Jean Hebert lives in Borderhouat, Locmaria Parish. From this second marriage was born Marguerite Blanche LeBLANC in Ploujan Parish, Diocese of Treguier, on 7 May 1765.

DAIGRE, all Acadians living on this island, witnesses, states that he was born at the Mines, St. Charles Parish, in 1731, son of Claude LeBLANC and Jeanne DUGAST; Claude LeBLANC was son of Rene and Anne BOURGEOIS, and Rene LeBLANC, son of Daniel who came from France with his wife and settled at Port Royal. They died there. Jeanne DUGAST was the daughter of Abraham DUGAST and Marie GUILBAUD. Abraham DUGAST was issue of another Abraham who came, from France with his wife, settled at Port Royal and died there.
Alain LeBLANC, informant, married at Southampton on 28 October 1756 to Anne Marie BABIN (born St. Charles Parish in 1737) daughter of the deceased Claude and Marguerite DUPUIS. Marguerite DUPUIS is living in Kerledant, Sauzon Parish.

DAIGRE, all Acadians living on this island, witnesses, before whom she stated she was born at the Mines, St. Charles Parish, in 1702 of Martin DUPUIS (from France) and Perrinne THERIOT, both died at Port Royal. Marguerite DUPUIS married at the Mines, St. Charles Parish in 1718 to Claude BABIN, born same parish in 1698 of Charles and Magdelaine RICHARD of Port Royal. Charles BABIN was the son of Antoine who came from France with his wife, Marie MERCIER, to Port Royal and both died there.

On 9 March 1767 appeared Pierre DOUCET, living in Anvorte, Sauzon Parish, who, in presence of Joseph BABIN, Louis COURTIN, Simon P. DAIGRE and Jean B. LeBLANC, Acadians living on this island, witnesses, who stated he was born at the Mines, St. Charles Parish in November 1738 of Jean DOUCET and Magdelaine THERIOT of that place. Jean DOUCET was the son of Jean and Marie ROBICHAULT of Port Royal and Jean DOUCET was son of Charles and Hugette GUERIN. Charles DOUCET came from Germain DOUCET who came to Canada and married at Port Royal to Marguerite LANDRY. Both died at that place. Marie was daughter of Prudent ROBICHAULT and Henriette PETIPAS; Prudent ROBICHAULT was the son of Charles (from France with his wife) and who settled at Port Royal and died there.
Magdelaine THERIOT was born at the Mines, St. Charles Parish in 1715 of Jean and Magdelaine BOURG. Jean THERIOT was son of Germain and Marie RICHARD, and Germain THERIOT was the son of Charles who came from France and married at Port Royal to Marie GAUTROT where both died.
From the marriage of Jean DOUCET and Magdelaine THERIOT, married at the Mines in 1737, were born:
1) Pierre informant, born in St. Charles Parish in November 1738;
2) Paul Marie - born at Beaubassin in January 1746, living now at Miramichi
Pierre DOUCET, informant, married in England at Southampton on 26 April 1763 to 'Marie Blanche RICHARD, born at the Mines, St. Charles Parish in February 1746 of Joseph RICHARD and Marguerite LeBLANC; Joseph RICHARD was son of Pierre and Marguerite LANDRY; Pierre RICHARD was son of Michel dit Sans Soucy, who, came from France and married at Port Royal to Anne BLANCHARD and both died there.
Marguerite LeBLANC was born at the Mines, St. Charles Parish in 1726 of Charles and Magdelaine GAUTROT. Charles LeBLANC was the son of Antoine and Marie BOURGEOIS and Antoine LeBLANC was son of Daniel who came from France with his wife and settled at Port Royal and both died there.
From the marriage of Joseph RICHARD and Marguerite LeBLANC were born at St. Charles Parish:
1) Marie Blanche - wife of the informant;
2) Joseph - born 1749, a boy living at Anvorte, Sauzon Parish with Pierre DOUCET, his brother-in-law.
From the marriage of Pierre DOUCET with Marie Blanche RICHARD were born:
1) Joseph Basile - born at St. Servant of St. Malo on 2 February 1764;
2) Marie Blanche - born at Belle Isle-en-Mer at the Palais, St. Gerard

On 9 March 1767 appeared Jean Baptiste LeBLANC, living at Loqueltas, Parish of Sauzon, who, in presence of Joseph BABIN, Louis COURTIN, Simon P. DAIGRE and Pierre DOUCET, all Acadians, witnesses, living on this island, has stated he was born at Riviere aux Canards, St. Joseph Parish, on 28 October 1746 of Jean Baptiste LeBLANC dit DESSAPINS, born at the Mines, St. Charles Parish in 1716, and Marguerite MELANCON, born same place in 1724. Jean Baptiste LeBLANC dit DESSAPINS was son of Jean (also a dit DESSAPINS) and Anne LANDRY. Jean LeBLANC was issue of Antoine and Marie BOURGEOIS. Antoine LeBLANC was son of Daniel LeBLANC who came from France with his wife and settled at Port Royal and both died there.
Marguerite MELANCON, daughter of Joseph and Marguerite LeBLANC; Joseph was issue of Philippe MELANCON and Marguerite DUGAST, and Philippe NIELANCON was issued of Pierre who left Scotland, married after abjuration to Anne MIUS of Port Royal and both died at St. Charles Parish.
Jean Baptiste LeBLANC dit DESSAPINS, father of the declarant married in St. Charles Parish to Marguerite MELANCON and from this marriage was born Jean Baptiste, declarant, an only son, at Riviere aux Canards, St. Joseph Parish. Jean Baptiste LeBLANC dit DESSAPINS died at Loqueltas, Sauzon Parish, on 20 September 1766 and Marguerite MELANCON died in England (Southampton) in 1756.
Jean Baptiste LeBLANC further stated that Joseph DAIGRE, his cousin german, minor child and only son was born at the Mines, St. Charles Parish, in March 1752 of Charles and Marie LeBLANC, sister german of Jean Baptiste LeBLANC dit DESSAPINS and issue of the same ancestors; Charles DAIGRE was issue of Bernard of Port Royal and died at Port LaJoie on Ile St. Jean, and Claire BOURG of Port Royal and died at Pigiguit, Assumption Parish. Bernard DAIGRE descended from Jean DAIGRE who came from France, married at Port Royal to Marie GAUDET and both died there. Charles DAIGRE, father of the minor, died in a ship transporting Acadian families to the Virgines in England, in June 1756.
Marie LeBLANC, mother of the said minor died at Southampton in August 1756.

On 10 March 1767 appeared Joseph BABIN living at Loqueltas, Sauzon Parish, who, in presence of Louis COURTIN, Simon P. DAIGRE, Pierre DOUCET and Olivier DAIGRE, witnesses, all Acadians living on this island, who said he was born at the Mines, St. Charles Parish, in 1735 of the deceased Claude BABIN and Marguerite DUPUIS, living now in the villa-e of Kerledant, Sauzon Parish, where the genealogy of the Babin family was made.
Joseph BABIN married in Southampton on 9 November 1756 to Marianne LeBLANC, sister german of the deceased Jean Baptiste LeBLANC dit DESSAPINS and issue from the same ancestors, born in St. Charles Parish in 1735.
From this marriage was born:
1) Joseph Nicaise - born at Southampton on 11 October 1757;
2) Bonaventure - born same place on 29 November 1759;
3) Marie Theotiste - born same place on 3 December 1761;
4) Marie Victoire - born on 19 May 1763 on board the king's ship Dorothy, in passage to England - at St. Malo;
5) Francois Laurent - born at Belle-Ile-en-Mer at the Palais, St. Gerard Parish on 2 January 1766.

Statement of Monsieur l'Abbé LeLOUTRE

On 12 March 1767, Monsieur LeLOUTRE stated that the Acadians placed on this island had been transported by the English to Boston and other English colonies in October 1755; that from these colonies they were transferred
to old England and dispersed in many places in the kingdom during the year 1756; that in 1763, after the treaty of peace they were transported to France in the King's flatboats and placed in several seaports. And, in 1765 during the month of October, they came to this island by order of Mons. the Duke of Choiseul, Navy Minister. This is affirmed as true and he has signed it after the reading on the month and year as above.

Remarks of the Copyist
I . By examination of the genealogy statements it is known that our Acadians settled at Belle-Ile descended from almost all of these families that we qualify as historic from the point of view of the colonization. There are we found here the descendants of the colonists who endured the arrival in Acadia with the Commander, DeRazilly who departed from Auray in -1632: such as the MARTINS, the TRAHANS, the LANDRYS, the GAUTROTS. Others seem to have been brought to the colony by Aulnay (1641): our descendants, the DOUCETS, the BOURGEOIS, the PETITPAS, the BOUDROTS, perhaps also the HEBERTS, the BLANCHARDS, the DUPUIS. We again have (in the time of Razilly) these names: DUGAS, MELANSON, AUCOIN. The spelling of the names is not always respected in the statements.
2. Our DOUCETS descend from M. Germain DOUCET de la VERDURE; our TRAHANS have as their author Guillaume TRAHAN, Syndic of Port Royal: two notables who had informed against deLATOUR (1640-1641).
3. Again, among our descendants of chiefs of clans, the following names are equally cited by the historians: TERRIAU (here, THERIOT), GAUTHEROT, THIBAUDEAU, (the famous miller-lord) BOURC, GIROUARD, LeBLANC, POIRIER, COMMEAUX, CORMIER, ROBICHAUX. Our Belle-Ile Acadians often descended, be
it directly, be by alliances from these grand types.
4. Statement of Jean LeBLANC of Bernantec -- observe there that his sister Marie married a Belle-Ile LEBORGNE at the Mines. This Belle-Isle LEBORGNE had as mother Marie de ST. CASTIN, no doubt from the family of legendary heroes of Acadia, from the valorous captain of the Indians.
5. Numerous, they are again today at Belle-Ile-en-Mer -- the LeBLANCS, the TRAHANS, the GRANGERS, the GAUTROS, the RICHARDS, descendants of our refugees of 1765. Then there are the DAIGRE, still called on the island today the DAIGRE. Our Simon P. DAIGRE (one sees by his statement) descends from an Olivier DAIGRE and Jeanne BLANCHARD. These, son-in-law and daughter of Guillaume BLANCHARD, are among the number of founders of the place of Peticoudiak. Because DAIGRE is a truncated name; the real name of that family is DAIGLE as we say at Belle Isle, as written by the special historians.

On the afternoon of February 20, 1767 appeared Charles LeBlanc and Simon Leblanc, brothers germain, farmers of the village of Kerourde, parish of Bangor, accompanied by Charles Granger, Joseph Billeray, Jean Theriot and Simon-Pierre Trahan, all Acadians, living on this island, in the parish of Bangor, witnesses, in front of whom the said Charles and Simon declared the following: the said Charles LeBlanc was born at Mines, parish of Saint Charles, in Acadia of Jacques LeBlanc and Catherine Landry. The said Jacques LeBlanc was born at Port-Royal and died in the parish of Saint Charles, issued of Rene LeBlanc andAnne Bourgeois, both of whom died at the said place, and Rene Leblancdescended from Daniel LeBlanc who came from France with his wife, settled at Port Royal and died there. [Webmaster's note: Daniel did not come from France as married to Françoise Gaudet. They married in Port Royal.] The said Catherine Landry was born at Pisiguit, parish of l'Assomption, in 1684 and died at Mines in 1754 of Jean Landry of the ssaid parish who died in the parish of La Sainte Famille in 1744 and of Bernard Gaudet of Port Royal who died at said place.
Of the marriage of the said Jacques LeBlanc and Catherine Landry, his wife, were born at Mines in the parish of Saint Charles:
Simon LeBlanc born at the said place February 20, 1750.
The said Simon LeBlanc married a second time, on August 2, 1757 at Falmouth in England by Abbe Colomb to Marie Trahant daughter of Joseph Trahant and Elizabeth Theriot, sister germain of Jean Baptiste Trahant, living at the village of Bormenahic, parish of Locmaria and descended of the same ancestors, the said Marie Trahant, married a first time at the Riviere aux Canards, parish of Saint Joseph to François Granger, brother germain of Laurent Granger, living at the village of Lanno, parish of Sauzon, the said François Granger died at Falmouth without children of his marriage with the said Marie Trahant, in the month of September 1756.
Of the second marriage of Simon Leblanc with Marie Trahant were born the following:
Joseph Leblanc, November 1, 1764 at Morlaix, parish of Saint Martin, Diocese of Saint Paul de Leon.

On February 20, 1767 appeared Jean Tierney of the village of Kervarigeon, in the parish of Bangor, on this island. Who in the presence of Charles Granger, Joseph Billeray, Jean Theriot and Simon Pierre Trahant, all Acadians living in this said parish of Bangor, declared that he was born in the month of February in the year 1740 in the province of Limerick in Iremand, parish of Saint Bernard of Andre Tiernay and Marguerite Royant (Ryan?) and married at Liverpool Magdeleine Pelagie Hebert of Pigiguitk, parish of l'Assomption in the year 1745 of Joseph Hebert and Magdeleine Trahant; Joseph Hebert was the son of Jean Hebert and Magdeleine Dugast; Jean Hebert was born of Emmanuel Hebert and Andree Lebrun; Emmanuel Hebert issued of Etienne Hebert who came from France with Marie Gaudet his wife, settled at Port Royal and died at the said place. Magdeleine Trahant was born in the parish of Saint Charles in 1704 of Alexandre Trahant and Marie Pellerain; Alexandre Trahant issued of Guillaume Trahant who came from France and married at Port Royal to Magdelaine Brun and both of them died at the said place; Marie Pellerain was the daughter of Jacques Pellerain who came from Quebec and Marie Colbec also of Quebec and married at Beaubassin in Acadia.
Of the marriage of Jean Tiernay with Magdeleine Pelagie Hebert were born at Morlaix the two following children: Andre Tiernay in the parish of Saint Melaine, Diocese of Treguier in the month of December 1764.
Daniel Tiernay born in the said parish March 15, 1765.

Who in the presence of Charles Granger, Joseph Billeray, Jean Theriot and Sion Pierre Trahant, all Acadians living on this island, parish of Bangor, declared that he was born at Pigiguit, parish of l'Assomption, in the month of February 1731 of Charles Hebert and Marie Daigre of the said parish; Charles Hebert issued of Jean Hebert and Magdeleine Dugast; and Jean Hebert came from Emmanuel Hebert and Andree Lebrun [Brun]; and Emmanuel Hebert descended from Etienne Hebert who came from France with Marie Gaudet his wife, settled at Port Royal and died at the said place. Marie Daigre daughter of Bernard Daigre and Claire Bourg; Bernard Daigre issued of Jean Daigre who came from France, married Marie Gaudet of Port Royal and both of them died at the said place.
The said Charles Hebert married at Memeramcouk, in the Bay of Beaubassin, in the month of November 1751 to Marie Poirier daughter of Joseph Poirier and Jeanne Arseneau of Verte Bay at the said Beaubassin; Marie Poirier died with all her children on the coast of Portugal where the ship which was carrying them to Europe was shipwrecked in the month of December 1758.
The said charles Hebert married a second time in the parish of Saint Servant, Diocese of Saint Malo, in the month ofapril 1763 to Jeanne Lucas daughter of Joseph Lucas and Jeanne Monvilain of the said place; the said Jeanne Lucas died at Saint Servant in the year 1764 having left behind of her marriage one child named Marie Theotiste Hebert born at the said Saint Servant in the month of October 1764.
The sasid Charles Hebert married a third time in the said parish of Saint Servant in the month of July 1765 to Marie Le Coq daughter of Jacques Le Coq and Magdeleine Laurent living at Saint Servant where they were from originally.
Such is the declaration of Charles Hebert which he read, said that the contents was right and declared that he could not sign the statement in accordance with the ordinance.

On february 20, 1767 appeared Claude Joseph Billeray, farmer, living at the village of Kervarigeon, parish of Bangor, on this island, who in the presence of Charles Granger, Jean Theriot, Simon Pierre Trahant and Jean Granger, witnesses, all Acadians living on this island, in front of whom he declared that he was born at Vernier Fontaine, Diocese of Besancon in Franche Comte, November 12, 1727 of Jean Claude Billeray and Anne Monique Golard of the said place and married June 26, 1750 at Port La Joie on the Isle Saint Jean, Brigitte Deforest, born at Pigiguitk, parish of La Sainte Familles, April 29, 1729 of Michel Deforest and Marie Bellemere; Michel Deforest issued of Michel Deforest and Marie Hebert of the same parish where they both died; Marie Bellemere daughter of Jacques Bellemere who came from France with his wife Perrine Bazile, both of them died at Port Royal.
Of the marriage of Claude Joseph Billeray and his wife were born Marie Jeanne Billeray July 29, 1759 in the parish of Pleurtuit, in the Diocese of Saint Malo.

On February 21, 1767 appeared Pierre Deline living at the village of Kervarigeon, parish of Bangor, who in the present of Charles Granger, Joseph Billeray, Jean Theriot and Simon Pierre Trahant, all Acadians living on this island, declared that he was born in the parish of Ambleville, grand vicariat Pointoise en Texin francais, Election de Magny, November 4, 1721 of Jean Deline and Michelle Petit, married at Saint Servant of Saint Malo, January 17, 1764 to Rosalie Bonniere born at Pigiguitk May 29, 1739 of Pierre Bonniere and Magdeleine Josephe Deforest. The said Bonniere was a native of Brittany and died at Plymouth in England. Magdeleine Josephe Deforest was sister germain of Brigitte Deforest and descended from the same ancestor. Further declared the said Pierre Deline that he had on November 12, 1762 a daughter from the said Rosalie Bonniere before his marriage named Perrine Marguerite Adelaide whom he recognized as legitimate after his marriage to the said Rosalie Bonniere January 17, 1764, also that it was established by the act of marriage on the register of the parish of Saint Servant and that after his marriage there was born to the same wife two other children hereafter named as follows:
Marie Magdeleine Deline born at Saint Servant July 3, 1765.
Pierre Benoist born at Belle-Isle-en-Mer, parish of Bangor, December 2, 1766.
The said Rosalie Bonniere married a first time at the Harbor of Saint Pierre on Isle Saint Jean in the month of September 1758 to Jean Riet born at Pigiguitk, parish of La Sainte Famille in the year 1727 of Estienne Riet and Anne Leprince, that Jean Rivet died on a corsair from Saint Malo in 1760.
Of the marriage of the said Rosalie Bonniere with Jean Rivet was born a daughter at Saint Servant of Saint Malo on May 27, 1760, named Rose Pelagie Julienne Rivet.

On february 21, 1767 appeared Guillaume Montet, farmer of the village of Kervarigeon, parish of Bangor, who in the presence of Charles Granger, Joseph Billeray, Jean Theriot and Simon Pierre Trahant, all Acadians living on this island, declared that he was born in the parish of Cajolay in Perigord January 23, 1737 of Francois Montet and Marie Martin married at Liverpool by Messire Brayelle, priest, April 19, 1763 to Maried Josephe Vincent born at Riviere aux Canards, parish of Saint Joseph, april 22, 1746 of Joseph Vincent son of Michel Vincent and anne Marie Douaron of the same parish, the said Joseph Vincent died at Liverpool in the month of September 1756 and of Marguerite Baudart daugther of Pierre Baudart who came from France and died in Maryland.
Of the marriage of Joseph Vincent and Marguerite Baudart [Bodart] was born in the parish of Saint Joseph on October 15, 1748, Pierre Vincent.

On february 22, 1767 appeared Jean and Pierre Granger, farmers of the village of Bortemont of Bangor, who in the presence of Charles Granger, Joseph Billeray, Jean theriot and Simon Granger, all Acadians living on this island, witnesses, declared the following: Jean Granger was born at the riviere aux Canards, parish of Saint Joseph, March 19, 1740 of Francois Granger and Anne Landry; the said Francois Granger was the son of Rene Granger and Marguerite Theriot and the said Rene Granger issued from Laurent Granger born at Plymouth in england, was married at Port Royal, after making renunciation, to Marie Landry of the said Port Royal, died at the said place. Francois Landry issued frm Antoine Landry and Marie Thibodault of the same parish. The said Anne Landry died at Falmouth July 15, 1756.
The said Jean Granger married at Falmouth October 19, 1761 to Marie Blanche Theriot born in the parish of Saint Joseph June 11, 1744 of Jean theriot and Marie Daigre of the said parish; the said Marie Blanche theriot, sister germain and issue of the same ancestor as the wives of Simon, Jean Baptiste and Amand Granger of te parish of Palais where their genealogy was made.

The said Pierre Granger declared that he was born at the Riviere aux Canards, parish of Saint Joseph, November 9, 1743 and brother germain of the said Jean Granger and descended from the same ancestor, married at Morlaix, parish of Saint Martin, May 29, 1765 to Marie Thibodault born in the said parish of Saint Joseph November 6, 1743 of Germain Thibodault and Judith LeBlanc, this Germain Thibodault died at Falmouth in england in 1756, brother germain of Jean Thibodault. Judith LeBlanc born in the parish of Saint Charles (Note: Grand Pre), sister germain of Charles and Simon LeBlanc and she died at Falmouth in the month of October 1756.

On February 22, 1767 appeared Jean Theriot, farmer, of the village of Bortemont who in the presence of charles Granger, Joseph Billeray, Simon Trahant and Simon Granger, all Acadians living on this island, witness, declared that he was born at the Riviere aux Canaards, parish of Saint Joseph, of Jean theriot of the said parish and Marie Landry born at Pigiguit, parish of La Sainte Famille, on June 17, 1714: Jean theriot son of Claude theriot and Agnes Aucoin and Claude Theriot issued of another Claude Theriot and Marie Gautrot of Port Royal, both of them died at the said place; Agnes Aucoin daughter of Martin Aucoin and Marie Gaudet, the said Agnes Aucoin died at Falmouth in the month of October 1756 and Jean Theriot father of the declarant died at the same place in the same yeaer; Marie Landry mother of the declarant issued from Pierre Landry and Marguerite Forest; Pierre Landry descended from antoine Landry and Marie Thibodault and Marguerite Forest issued from Pierre Forest and Cecile richard of the parish of La Sainte Famille.

Of the marriage of August Landry with Anne Rivet was born Joseph Landry at Piguguit in 1743. augustin Landry married a second time in 1747 to Marie Babin daughter of Jean Babin and Marguerite Bourg and was transported to Maryland with the children of his first and second marriage and his wife.

On february 22, 1767, appeared Marie Rose Rivet, widow of Rene Landry farmer of the village of Bordrehouant, parish of Bangor, who in the presence of Charles Granger, Joseph Billeray, Simon Granger and Jean theriot, witnesses, all Acadians living on this island, declared that she was born at Pigiguit, parish of La Sainte Famille, July 18, 1707 of Etienne Rivet and Anne Leprince of the same parish, Etienne Rivet issued of another (Etienne) Rivet and Anne Comeau, they both came from France, married Marguerite Hebert and both died at Pigiguit, the said Anne Leprince died in Maryland.
Of the marriage of Etienne Rivet and Anne Leprince were born at Pigiguit the following:
Michel Rivet in 1709 married the first time at Pigiguit to Anne Landry daughter of Abraham Landry and Marie Guilbaud, the said Anne Landry died at the said place in the month of May 1740. Of this marriage were born at Pigiguit, Anne Rivet, Maximilien Rivet, Josephe Marie Rivet and Blaise Rivet. The aforementioned Michel Rivet married a second time at Pigiguit in 1741 to Catherine Benoist daughter of Clement Benoist and anne Babin, transported by the english to Maryland with all their family, where the said Michel Rivet and Catherine Benoist died.
Etienne Rivet was born at Pigiguit in 1717, married at the said place in the year 1743 to Claire Forest daughter of Pierre Forest and Magdeleine Babin and transported to Maryland with their family.
Anne Rivet born at the said Pigiguit in 1719, married there to Augustin Landry son of Pierre Landry and Marguerite Forest; the said Anne Landry (Rivet) died at the said Pigiguit in 1750. Of this marriage issued: Joseph Landry and Marie Landry. The said Augustin married a second time at Pigiguit to Marie Babin and was transported with his wife and all of his children to Maryland.
CLaire Rievet born at the said Pigiguit in 1723, married at the said place to Bonaventure Forest son of Pierre Forest and Magdeleine Babin, transported with their family to Maryland.
The said Marie Rose Rivet, declarant, married at Pigiguit, parish of La Sainte Familles, May 31, 1727 to Rene Landry born at the Riviere aux Canards, parish of Saint Joseph, in 1703 of Rene Landry and anne Theriot; the said Rene Landry issued of another Rene Landry and Michelle Gaudet, both died at the said place. The said Rene Landry husband of the deponent died in the said parish September 21, 1749.

Anne Landry born at the Riviere aux Canards February 24, 1739, married at Liverpool by Mr. Wildoon, priest, May 15, 1758 to Charles LeBlanc living at the village of bordrehouant, born at Pigiguit, parish of La Sainte Famille August 22, 1734 of Honore LeBlanc and of the deceased Marie Trahant, the said Honore LeBlanc is living at Bordustard, parish of Palais, where this genealogy was made. Of the marriage of Anne Landry and charles LeBlanc were born the two followoing children. Of this marriage were issued Marie Claire duon and Marguerite Duon. The said Pierre Duon married a second time in England at Bristol to Marguerite Aucoin daughter of Joseph aucoin and Anne Trahant living in the parish of Poubar, Diocese of Saint Malo.

Claude Duon born at Port Royal February 18, 1736, married at Miramichy by M. Manach, priest of the foreign missions, to Josephe Vincent daughter of Michel Vincent and anne Marie Douaron and passed with their family to Martinique.
Rosalie Duon born at Port royal in 1741 and transported with Agnes Hebert her mother to New York.

On february 23, 1767 appeared Alexandre Aucoin living at the village of Calastrene, paarish of Bangor, who in the presence of Charles Granger, Joseph Billeray, Jean theriot and simon Granger, witnesses, all Acadians living on this island declared that he was born at Cobeguit, parish of Saint Pierre and Saint Paul, August 10, 1725 of Alexis Aucoin and Anne Marie Bourg; Alexis Aucoin died in 1759, the son of Martin Aucoin and Marie Gaudet; Martin Aucoin came from France and died with his wife at the Riviere aux Canaards; anne Marie bourg died at Boulogne-en-Mer in 1766 the issue of Martin Boiurg and Marie Potet of Port Royal and both died at Cobeguit.

Alexis Aucoin born at the said Cobeguit in 1717 and married there Helene Blanchard daughter of Pierre Blanchard and Francoise Brault, transported from Isle Saint Jean to Saint Malo where the said Alexis Aucoin died.
Jean Aucoin born at cobeguit in 1719 and married Marie Blanchard daugther of Martin Blanchard and Elizabeth Dupuis, both of them died in Acadia and they left one daughter about 18 years ofld living with her uncle Francois Aucoin presently on Isle d'Aix.
Joseph Aucoin born at the said Cobeguit in 1721, married the first time to Anne blanchard daughter of Pierre Blanchard and Francoise Brault; the said anne Blanchard died with all her children at Saint Malo. The said Joseph aucoin married a second to a daughter of Jean Hebert and Claire dugast living at Saint Malo.
Francois Aucoin born at the said Cobeguit in 1725, married the first time at the said place to Elizabeth Blanchard daughter of Martin Blanchard and Elizabeth Dupuis, the said elizabeth Blanchard died at Boulogne-en-Mer on May 1, 1761 or 1762; the said Francois Aucoin is presently l iving at Isle d'aix with his family.

On February 24, 1767 appeared Rene and Pierre Trahant, brothers, living at the village of Calastrene, parish of Bangor, who in the presence of Charles Granger, Joseph Billeray, Jean theriot and Simon Granger, witnesses, all Acadians living on this island, stated that the followoing were born; the said Rene Trahant at the Riviere aux Canards, parish of Saint Joseph, in the month of December 1734 of Pierre Trahant and Jeanne Daigre; Pierre Trahant issued of Jean Trahant and Marie Boudrot of Port Royal; Jean Trahant descended from Guilllaume Trahant who came from France and married at Port Royal to Magdelaine Brun and both died at the said place.
Jeanne Daigre daughter of Olivier Daigre and Jeanne Blanchard both of whom died at Port royal; Olivier Daigre issued of Jean Daigre who came from France and married at Port Royal to Marie Godet, both of them died at the said place.

The said Jean Hebert is living at the village of bordrehouant, parish of Locmaria. OF the marriage of Pierre Pascal Hebert and Francoise Trahant was born at Morlaix, parish of Saint Martin, Diocese of Saint Paul de Leon, Elizabeth Hebert on December 24, 1764. The said Elizabeth Hebert died at Cayenne as wellas her father Pierre Pascal hebert; the said Francoise Trahant returned from Cayenne and is presently living with her borther Pierre Trahant at the village of Calastrene, parish of Bangor.
The said Rene Trahant, declarant, married the first time in England at Liverpool february 12, 1758 to Anne LeBlanc daughter of Jean LeBlanc and Francoise Blanchard, presently living at the village of Bernantec parish of Sauzon. Of this marriage was born Raphael Trahant at Liverpool December 28, 1761.

On February 24, 1767 appeared Pierre Trahant living at the village of goeland, parish of Bangor, accompanied by charles Granger, Joseph Billeray, Jean Theriot and Simon Granger, witnesses, all Acadians living on this island, in front of them the said Pierre Trahant declared that he was born at Pigiguit, parish of l'Assomption, in the month of June 1723 of Pierre Trahant born the said parish June 9, 1696, married in the same parish September 30, 1716 to Magdeleine Comeau. the said Pierre Trahant father of the declarant, presently living at the village of Bordrehouant, paraish of Locmaria, issued of Guillaume Trahant and Jacqueline Benoist; the said guillaume Trahant descended from anoterh Guillaume Trahant who came from France and married at Port royal to Magdeleine Brun, both died at the said place.
Jacqueline Benoist daughter of Martin Benoist and Marie Chaussegros, both of France, settled and died at Port Royal. The said Magdeleine Comeau daugther of Jean Comeau and Francoise Hebert of Port Royal, Jean Comeau issued from another Jean Comeau who came from France and Francoise Hebert daughter of Etienne Hebert who came from France with his wife and both died at the said Port Royal.
The said Pierre Trahant, declarant, married the first time at Mines, parish of Saint charles to Marguerite Leblanc daughter of Jean LeBlanc and anne Bourgeois of the same parish; the said Marguerite LeBlanc died without children at Liverpool in the month of August 1756.
The said Pierre Trahant married a second time in the month of February 1757 at Liverpool to Elizabeth Darois daughter of Etienne Darois and Anne Brault, the said Elizabeth Darois died without children at Liverpool in 1759.
The said Pierre Trahant, declarant, married a third time at Liverpool March 12, 1760 to Magdeleine Vincent widow of the deceased Jean Baptiste Duon.
The said Magdeleine Vincent was born at Pigiguit, parish of La Sainte Famille in the month of August 1740 of Michel Vincent and Anne Marie Douaron; Michel Vincent issued of Pierre Vincent who came from France, married at Port Royal to Anne Gaudete and both of them died at the said place; Anne Marie douaron daughter of Jean Douaron and Marie anne his wife, both of them from France, they settled and died at Port Royal.
The said Michel Vincent father of Magdeleine Vincent wife of the said Pierre Trahant, married a first time at Port Royal to Anne Richard daughter of Richard named Sans Souci, who came from France; of this first marriage were born the following:
Marie Vincent at Pigiguit, parish of La Sainte Famille married Francois Gautrot and both died on the voyage returning to France. Of the marriage of Francois Gautrot and Marie Vincent were born at Pigiguit the followoing: Helen Gautrot married Pierre Thibodault who died at Boston, the said Helen Gautrot is presently l iving with her family at saint Malo; Magddleine Gautrot widow of Jean Vincent who died without children; the said Magdeleine Gautrot is at present at Saint Malo.
Agnes Vincent born at the said Pigiguit, parish of La Sainte Famille, married at the said place to Denis Boudrot who died at Isle Saint Jean and Agnes Vincent died on the voyage returning to France.
Anne Vincent born at the said Pigiguit, married at Mines, parish of Saint Charles, to Jean Dubois who came from France. We ignore them becasuse we do not know what became of them.
Pierre Vincent born at the said Pigiguit, married anne Comeau daughter of Abraham Comeau and Marguerite Pitre. The said Pierre Vincent died in Canada and anne Comeau stayed at Halifax in Nova Scotia with her family.
Antoine Vincent born at Piguguit, married Magdeleine Landry daughter of Rene Landry and Anne Theriot, the said Magdeleine Landry died in Virginia and Antoine Vincent is presently living at Saint Malo with his family.
Claire Vincent born at Pigiguit, married Jacques Forest, son of Michel Forest and Marie Perrine Bellemere, living with their family at Saint Malo.
Elizabeth Vincent born at Pigiguit, married Philippe Thibodault son of Pierre thibodault and anne Boudrot, transported to Boston with their family.
Marguerite Vincent born at Pigiguit, married Jean Lemair [Semer] from Ireland, and presently at Boston with her family.
The said Michel Vincent married a second time at Pigiguit in 1706 [abt 1710] to Anne Marie Douaron. Of this second marriage were born at the said place:
Jean Vincent in 1707, married Elizabeth Comeau; the said Jean Vincent died on the coast of Miramichy and the said Comeau is at present at Halifax in Nova Scotia with her family.
Marie Vincent born at the said Pigiguit in 1709, married Honore Duon and both are at Halifax with their family.
Josette Vincent born at the said Pigiguit in 1733 (1713?) and married Claude Duon son of Jean Baptiste Duon and Agnes Hebert, passed with their family to Martinique.
Jeanne Vincent born at the said Pigiguit in 1735 (1715?), married at the promontory of Beau Sejour in the ba of Beaubassin to a surgeon whose name is unknown is unknown and went to France with her husband and her husband. [Jeanne Vincent married Jean Caylan abt 1761]
Marguerite Vincent born at the said Pigiguit in 1717, married at Mines, parish of Saint Charles, to Pierre Soignier [Saulnier] son of Marcel Soignier and Elizabeth LeBlanc his wife, the said Marguerite Vincent died at Liverpool and her husband went to Cayenne with his family.
The aforementioned Magdeleine Vincent wife of Pierre Trahant, declarant, married at the Riviere aux Canards, parish of Saint Joseph, the first time on January 22, 1736 to the deceased Jean Baptiste Duon born at Port Royal in 1715 issue of another Jean Baptiste Duon who came from France and married at Port Royal to Agnes Hebert and both died at the said place.

Honore Duon November 16, 1737 and married in England at Liverpool October 14 1758 to Anne Genevieve Trahant born at Pigiguit in the parish of l'Assomption in 1741 daugther of Francois Trahant and Angelique Melancon; Francois Trahant born at the said Pigiguit in 1702 of Guillaume Trahant and Jacqueline Benoist; Guillaume Trahant issued of another Guillaume Trahant who came from France and married at Port Royal Magdeleine Brun, both died at the said place; angelique Melancon daughter of Philippe Melancon and Marie Dugast; Philippe Melancon issued of Pierre Melancon who came from England, married after renunciation, to Anne Marie Mius of Port Royal and both died at Mines, parish of Saint Charles. The said Anne Geneveieve Trahant, sister germain of Louis Athanase Trahant of the village of borderun in the parish of Sauzon on the register of which is carried his genealogy. Of the marriage of the said Honore Duomn with the said Anne Genevieve Trahant were born the following: Marie Duon at Liverpool January 31, 1760, living with her father and her mother at the village of Martha; Anne Duon at the said place on December 11, 1761, living at the village of Martha, parish of Bangor; Augustin Marie was born at Belle-Isle-en-Mer, parish of Bangor, June 22, 1766.
Marie Duon daughteer of the deceased Jean Baptiste Duon and Magdeleine Vincent, born at the Riviere aux Canards on November 9, 1740, married October 14, 1758 at Liverpool to Jochim Trahant, living at the village of Magoric, parish of Locmaria.
Marguerite Duon born aat the said place August 15, 1741 and married Pierre Trahant living at the village of Calastrene, parish of Bangor.
Elisabeth Duon born at the said place May 21, 1743, married Alexandre Aucoin living at the said village of Calastrene, parish of Bangor.
And moreover the declarant, Pierre Trahant, stated that Francois Trahant, minor with(out) father and mother, living in his house, was born at Pigiguit, parish of l'Assomption, December 26, 1763 of Alexis Trahant and anastasie Landry of the same parish; alexis Trahant was the son of Charles Trahant and Anne Marie Hebert; the said Charles Trahan issued of Guillaume Trahant and Jacqueline Benoist; the said Guillaume Trahant descended from another Guillaume Trahant who came from France and married at Port Royal to Magdeleine Brun. Anasie Landry was the daughter of Francois Landry and Dorothee Bourg; Francois Landry was the issue of Pierre Landry and Magdeleine Broussard of Port Royal; the said Alexis Trahant and Anastasie Landry died at Falmouth in the month of September 1756 and the said minor, Francois Trahant, is all that remains of this marriage.

On February 25, 1767 appeared Charles Granger living at the village of Thineve in the parish of Bangor who declaired in the presence of Joseph Billeray, Jean Theriot, Simon Pierre Trahant and Simon Granger, witnesses, all Acadians living on this island, that he was born at the Riviere aux Canards, parish of Saint Joseph, May 11, 1738 of charles Granger born in the said parish in 1711 and of Francoise Leblanc born at Mines, paarish of Saint charles, September 8, 1716; the said Charles granger issued of Rene Granger and of Marguerite theriot of Port Royal; the said Rene Granger issued of Laurent Granger who came from Plymouth in England and married at Port royal, after renunciation, to Marie Landry. The said Francoise LeBlanc daughter of Jacques LeBlanc and Catherine Landry; Jacques LeBlanc issued of Rene LeBlanc of Port Royal and anne Bourgeois of the said place; and the said Rene Leblanc descended from Daniel Leblanc who came from France with his wife, settled and died at Port Royal.
Of the marriage of the said Charles Granger, who died at Falmouth in england September 29, 1756 and of Francoise LeBlanc were born at the Riviere aux Canards, parish of Saint Joseph, the following children:
Marie Granger May 20, 1736 married at Falmouth in the month of August 1757 to Basile richard son of Michel Richard and Marie Bourgeois of Port royal. Of this marriage were issued the followiong: Joseph Richard born at Falmouth August 10, 1759; Jean Baptiste Richard born at Morlaix, parish of Saint Mathieu, Diocese of Treguier, September 29, 1763; Pierre Marie Richard born at Bedex, township of Bangor, July 3, 1766. The said Basile Richard is presently living at the village of Bedex, parish of Bangor.
The said Charles Granger further declared that he was married at Falmouth December 26, 1757 to Magdeleine Daigre born at the Riviere aux Canards January 14, 1735 of Jean Baptiste Daigre and Magdeleine Theriot; Jean Baptiste Daigre issued of Olivier Daigre and Jeanne Blanchard, both died at Port Royal; Olivier Daigre descended of Jean Daigre who came from France and married at Port Royal to Marie Gaudet and both of them died at the said place. Magdeleine Theriot daughter of Claude theriot and Agnes Aucoin of Port roayl; claude theriot issued of another Claude theriot and Marie Gautrot of Port Royal, both died at the said place. Agnes Aucoin daughter of Martin Aucoin and Marie Gaudet who died at the Riviere aux Canards, parish of Saint Joseph, the said Agnes Aucoin died at Falmouth in the month of October 1756.

Marguerite Granger, sister of the said Charles Granger, declarant, born at the Riviere aux Canards, November 6, 1739, married at Falmouth January 3, 1761 to Charles Daigre son of Jean Baptiste Daigre and Magdeleine Theriot living at Morlaix.
Further the said Charles Granger declared that Francoise Leblanc, his mother, widow of deceased Charles Granger is presently living at the village of Keruest, parish of Bangor, with three unmarried children issued of her marriage, as follows:

On February 25, 1767 appeared Jean Baptiste LeBlanc tenant farmer of the village of Keruest, parish of Bangor, who in the presence of charles Granger, Joseph Billeray, Simon Pierre Trahant and Jean Theriot, witnesses, all Acadians living on this island, declared that he was born at Mines, parish of Saint Charles, October 30, 1726 of Francois Leblanc and Jeanne Hebert. The said Francois Leblanc born in the said parish in 1687 issued of Rene Leblanc and Anne Bourgeois of Port Royal; and Renese Leblanc descended from Daniel Leblanc who came from France with his wife, settled at Port Royal and died there.
Of the marriage of Francois Leblanc and Jeanne Hebert were born in the said parish of Saint charles the following:
Francois Leblanc in 1706, married Anne Benoist daughter of Jean Benoist and Marie brault of Cobeguit, paarish of Saint Pierre and Saint Paul; the said Francois LeBlanc died at Mines and Anne Benoist died at Baie Verte de Beaubassin. Of this marriage were born: Joseph and Anne LeBlanc, twins, at Cobeguit and Francois LeBlanc also born at the said place; we do not know where they are presently living.
Jacques Leblanc born at Mines in 1708 and married Catherine Landry daughter of Pierre Landry of Pigiguit and of Magdeleine Broussard of Port Royal. Transported with their family to Boston.
Marie LeBlanc born at Mines in 1710, married at the said place Jean Thibodault son of Jean thibodault and Marguerite Hebert, passed with their family to Canada.
Anne LeBlanc born at Mines in 1712, married Germain Landry son of Germain Landry and Marie Melancon, transported with their faily by the english of Philadelphia.
Joseph LeBlanc born at Mines in 1714, married Marie Bourg daughter of Ambroise Bourg and Elisabeth Melancon of Cobeguit. Joseph Leblanc died at Cobeguit in 1757; Marie Bourg passed with the family to Isle Saint Jean.
Marguerite LeBlanc born at Mines in 1716, married at the said place Charles hebert son of Jacques Hebert and Marguerite Landry; the said Marguerite Leblanc died in 1758 on the crossing from Isle Saint Jean to France and the said Charles Hebert is presently living with his family at Saint Malo.
Cecile LeBlanc born at Mines in 1718, married at the said place Charles Landry, son of Rene Landry and anne theriault of the Riviere aux Canards, living at Saint Servant of Saint Malo with their family.
Josette LeBlanc born at Mines in 1720 and married at the said place to Jean Baptiste Landry, son of Jean Baptiste Landry and Marguerite Gautrot, living with their family at Cap Breton.
Magdeleine LeBlanc born at Mines in 1722 and married at the said place of Amand Brault son of Pierre Brault and Catherine LeBlanc of the Riviere aux Canards, transported with their family to Boston.
Benoni Leblanc born at Mines in 1730, married Marguerite Hebert daughter of Guillaume Hebert and Marie Josephe Dupuis, transported with their family to Virginia.
The above mentioned Jean Baptiste LeBlanc, declarant, amrried at Mines, parish of Saint Charles, November 3, 1746 to Marie Landry born at the said place November 29, 1726 of Jean Landry and Magdeleine Melancon also of Mines. Jean Landry issued of Antoine Landry and Marie Thibodault; Antoine Landry issued of Rene Landry who came from France with Marie Bernard his wife, settled and died at Port Royal. Magdeleine Melancon daughter of Philippe Melancon and of Catherine Dugast; Philippe Melancon descended from Pierre Melancon who came from England, married at Port Royal, making a renunciation to Anne Marie Mius of the said Port Royals, both died in the parish of Saint Charles. The said Catherine Dugast issued of Claude Dugast and Francoise Bourgeois of Port Royal and both died at the said place.
Of the marriage of the said Jean Baptiste LeBlanc and Marie Landry his first wife, who died in the month of March 1755 in Virginia, were born the following:

Thea bove mentioned Jean Baptiste LeBlanc married a second time at Southampton on August 10, 1758 to Marguerite Bellemer born at Mines in 1735 of Jacques Bellemer and Marie Landry. Jacques Bellemer issued of another Jacques Bellemer [Celestin dit Bellemere] who came from France with his wife Perrine Bazille [Basile], settled at Port Royal and died there.
Of this second marriage were born the following:
Moise, born at Southampton September 29, 1761.
Marie LeBlanc, born at Saint Enogat, Diocese of Saint Malo, March 15, 1763.

Joseph Boudrot born at Pigiguit, parish of La Sainte Famille, in the year 1700 of Charles Boudrot and Marie Corporon of Port Royal. Charles Boudrot issued of Michel Boudrot who came from France with Michelle Aucoin his wife, settled at Port Royal and died at the said place. Anne Leblanc daughter of Jean LeBlanc and Marguerite richard. Jean Leblanc issued of Jacques LeBlanc and Catherine Hebert and Jacques LeBlanc descnded from Daniel LeBlanc who came from France with his wife, settled and died at the said Port Royal.
Of the marriage of Joseph Boudrot and Anne LeBlanc were born at Mines, parish of Saint Charles, the followoing:
Joseph Boudrot in 1724, transported without being married to Philadelphia.
Anne Boudrot in 1730, married at Mines to Joseph Trahant son of Alexandre Trahant and Marguerite Le Jeune, passed to Cayenne and both died at the said place leaving one daughter named Magdeleine Trahan, born at Piiguit, parish of l'Assomption, in 1752.
Claire Boudrot born in 1732, married Joseph Gautrot of the parish of Saint Charles, son of Charles Gautrot and Marie LeBlanc, transported with their family to Philadelphia by the English.
Catherine Boudrot born in 1741, transported unmarried to Philadelphia with her sister Claire Boudrot and Joseph Gautrot, her brother-in-law.
Marguerite Boudrot born in 1743, transported unmarried to Philadelphia and married at the said place according to what was learned from a carpenter from Nantes.
The above mentioned Pierre Boudrot married at Saint Enogat, Diocese of Saint Malo, in the month of November 1763, with dispensation from Monseigneur l'Eveque of the fourth degree of parentage, to anne Boudrot born at Port toulouse on Cap Breton, Diocese of Quebec, in 1730.
Of this marriage was born at Belle-Isle-en-Mer at Palais, parish of Saint Gerand, Joseph Boudrot October 15, 1765.
The above mentioned Anne Boudrot presently wife of Pierre Boudrot, daughter of Claude Boudrot and Judith Beliveaux of Port Royal. Claude Boudrot, son of Michel Boudrot and Anne Cormier of Beaubassin and he died at the said place. Judith Beliveaux, daughter of Jean Beliveaux and Cecile Melancon of Port Royal, both died at Isle Saint Jean.

The above mentioned Anne Boudrot married the first time to Jacques Hache at isle Saint jean in the month of October 1743. jacques Hache was the son of Jacques Hache and Genevieve Lavergne of Port Royal. jacques Hache issued of Jean Hache and Anne Cormier, both died at Isle Saint Jean. Of the marriage of the said Anne Boudrot with Jacques Hache, her first husband, were born at Isle Saint Jean the hereafter children, namely: Pierre Hache, September 21, 1750; Marie Hache in the month of February 1752; Genevieve Hache in the month of October 1754; Henriette Hache in the month of December 1756; all of these four children are presently living with their mother and Pierre Boudrot, their stepfather, at the village of Keruest, parish of Bangor.
Magdeleine Boudrot born of the said Claude Boudrot and Judith Beliveaux at Port Toulouse in 1732, married Jean Arseneau, son of Charles Arseneau and Cecile Breau of Malpek on Isle Saint Jean, the said Magdeleine Boudrot died at Beaubassin in 1764. Of this marriage were issued Jean Arseneau and Basile Arseneau at present with their father at Belle-Isle-en-Mer and one daughter who is at Miquelon with Judith Beliveau, her grandmother.
Judith Boudrot born at Isle Saint Jean in 1734, married Pierre Arseneau, son of Charles Arseneau and Cecile Breau of Malpek on Ilse Saint Jean, both died at Nantes in the month of March 1766, of this marriage were issued Michel Arseneau, born at Isle Saint jean in the month of February 1755; Etienne Arseneau, born at the said place in the month of December 1756; Joseph Arseneau, born at Beaubassin in the month of april 1763; these three minors are presently at Nantes.
Claude Boudrot born at Isle Saint Jean in 1736, married Magdeleine Oizelet, daughter of Jean Oizelet who came from France and of Jeanne Moyse de Takamigouche of Cobeguit, at present on Isle Saint Pierre and Miquelon with their family.
Michel Boudrot born at Isle Saint Jean in the month of September 1741, married at Beau Sejour in the Bay of Beaubassin to Angelique Poirier, daughter of Claude Poirier and Marguerite Sire, the said Angelique Poirier died at Nantes without children in 1766 and the said Michel Boudrot is presently at Belle-Isle.
Marguerite Boudrot born at Isle Saint Jean in 1742, married at the said place Michel Chiasson, son of Jacques Chiasson and Marie Jeanne Arseneau, presently at Miquelon with their family.
Marie Joseph Boudrot born at Isle Saint Jean in 1743, married at the said place Pierre Chiasson, son of Jacques Chiasson and Marie Jeanne Arseneau; the said Pierre Chiasson died at Beau Sejour in the month of April 1764 and the said Marie Joseph Boudrot is presently at Isle Saint Pierre and Miquelon with her family.
Louise Boudrot born at Isle Saint Jean in the month of April 1744 and married Joseph Hebert, son of Jacques Hebert and Marguerite Arseneau and is presently at Isles Saint Pierre and Miquelon with their family.
Pierre Boudrot, bachelor, born at Isle Saint Jean in 1747 and presently at Miquelon with Judith Beliveau, his mother.

The said Joseph Trahant, son of Guillaume Trahant and Jacqueline Benoist, who died in Virginia in 1755, daughter of Martin Benoist and Marie Chassegros, both of them of France; the said Guillaume Trahant died at Pigiguit in the month of September 1755, he was the son of another Guillaume Trahant who came from France, married at Port Royal to Magdeleine Brun and both died at the said place.

Paul Trahant born in the month of September 1751, living with his brother Josesph trahant at the said village of Kerguinolay.
The said Joseph Trahant further declared that he was married at Falmouth, August 22, 1757 to Anne Granger, born at the Riviere aux Canards, parish of Saint Joseph, September 3, 1736 of Francois Granger born in the said parish of Saint Joseph and died at Falmouth November 1, 1756 and of Anne Landry deceased at Falmouth July 15th of the said year.
Francois Granger son of Rene Granger and Marguerite Theriot and the said Rene Granger issued of Laurent Granger born at Plymouth in England, married at Port Royal, after renunciation, to Marie Landry and both died at the said place. The said Anne Landry daughter of Francois Landry and Marie Doucet; the said Francois Landry issued of antoine Landry and Marie Thibodault of the parish of Saint Charles.
The said Anne Granger, wife of the declarant, is sister germain of Jean and Pierre Granger living at the village of bortemont, parish of Bangor.
Of the marriage of the ssaid Joseph Trahant and Anne Granger were born at Falmouth:

The said Simon Pierre Trahant, also a declarant and brother germain of the said Joseph Trahant said that he was married at Falmouth November 18, 1758 to Marie Josephe Granger born at the Riviere aux Canards, paarish of Saint Jospeh, September 8, 1738, sister germain of the said Anne Granger, wife of Joseph Trahant an issue of the same ancestor.

Chrysostome Trahant, brother germain of Joseph and Pierre Simon Trahant and of the same ancestor and born in the parish of l'Assomption in 1740, married at Falmouth January 10, 1763 to Anne Granger, born at the Riviere aux Canards, parish of Saint Joseph, in 1744 of Jean Baptiste Granger and Magdeleine Landry, both died at Falmouth in 1756, Jean Baptiste Granger, son of Rene Granger and of Marguerite Theriot, the said Rene Granger descended from Laurent Granger who came from England, married at Port Royal, after making a renunciation, to Marie Landry and both died at the said place. Magdeleine Landry, daughter of Jean Landry and Magdeleine Melancon, both transported to Boston. Jean Landry issued of Antoine Landry and Magdeleine melancon, daughter of Philippe Melancon and Marie Dugast and married, after renunciation, to Anne Marie Mius of Port Royal and both died at Mines.
Of the marriage of the deceased Jean Baptiste Granger and of the deceased Magdeleine Landry were born at the Riviere aux Canards, parish of Ssaint Joseph:

Of the marriage of Chrysostome Trahant and Anne Granger was born at Morlaix, parish of Saint Martin, Diocese of Saint Paul de Leon, anne Julie Trahant July 13, 1755 (this apparently should be 1765 since the above marriage took place in 1763).

On February 27, 1767 appeared Marie Josephe Dupuis, widow of the deceased Pierre Theriot, living at the village of Parlavant, parish of Bangor, who declared in the presence of Charles Granger, Joseph Billeray, Pierre Simon Trahant and Jean Theriot, all Acadians living on this island, that she was born at the Riviere aux Canards, parish of Saint Joseph, November 1, 1721 of Antoine Dupuis and Marie Josephe Dugast; Antoine Dupuis son of Martin Dupuis and Marie Landry of Port Royal and both died at the said place; Marie Josephe Dugast born at Cobeguit in 1703, daughter of Joseph Dugast and Claire Bourg of the said Cobeguit; Joseph Dugast issued of Claude Dugast and Marie Bourgeois of Port Royal and both died at the said place; the said Antoine Dupuis and Marie Josephe Dugast married at Cobeguit, parish of Saint Pierre and Saint Paul in 1719 and of this marriage were born at the Riviere aux Canards, parish of Saint Joseph, the following:

Antoine Dupuis in 1732 married at the said place to Marguerite Boudrot, daughter of Michel Boudrot and anne Marie LeBlanc, transported to New York.
Simon Pierre Dupuis in 1734, married Marie LEbalcn daughter of Jean LeBlanc and Marie theriot of the paarish of Saint charles and transported to New York.
Marguerite Dupuis in 1736, married Pierre Boudrot, son of Michel Boudrot and Anne Marie LeBlanc, transported to New York.
Anne Marie Dupuis and Francoise Ozide (Osite) Dupuis, born the same day in 1731; the said Anne Marie Dupuis married Michel Boudrot, son of Michel Boudrot and Anne Marie LeBlanc, passed with their family to the Mississippi; the said Francoise Ozide Dupuis died at Falmouth November 22, 1756, she was married in the said parish of Saint Joseph March 15, 1748 to Honore Daigre living at the village of Chubiguer, parish of Palais. OF this marriage were born in the said parish of Saint Jjoseph the followoing: Joseph Pierre Daigre, March 4, 1749; Jean Baptiste Daigre, April 14, 1755, these children are living with their father at the village of Chubiguer, parish hof Palais.
Euphrosine Dupuis in 1741, transported single to New York.
Jean Baptiste Dupuis and Joseph Dupuis, twinds, in 1745, transported single to New York.
Charles Dupuis in 1746, transported single to New York.
The said antoine Dupuis died at the Riviere aux Canards in the month of March 1747. And Marie Josephe Dugast, his wife, died at the said place in the same year.
The ssaid Marie Josephe Dpuis, declarant, married at the Riviere aux Canards, parish of Saint Joseph, October 22, 1738 to Pierre Theriot born at the said place in 1714 of Claude theriot and Agnes Aucoin; the said Claude Theriot, who died at the said place in the month of October 1752, issued of another Claude Theriot and Marie Gautrot of Port Royal; and Claude Theriot descended from Jean Theriot who came from France, settled at Port Royal and died there. Agnes Aucoin born at the Riviere aux Canards and died at Falmouth in the month of October 1756 was the daughter of Martin Aucoin who came from France and Marie Gaudet, both died at the Riviere aux Canards.
Of the marriage of Claude Theriot and Agnes Aucoin were born at the Riviere aux Canards.
Jean theriot in 1706, married in the month of May 1734 to Marie Landry, daughter of Pierre Landry and Marguerite Forest, living at the village of Bortemont, parish of Bangor. The said Jean Theriot died at Falmouth March 12, 1756.
Anne Theriot in 1708, married Pierre Landry who died in England, and was the son of Rene Landry and Marie Theriot, the said Anne theriot is presently at Saint Malo with her family.
Marie Theriot in 1710, married Jean LeBlanc, son of Jean LeBlanc and Marguerite Richard, the said Marie theriot died at Falmouth also her husband Jean LeBlanc; Thomas and Joseph LeBlanc their children are presently at Morlaix, we do not know where their other children are.
Magdeleine Theriot in 1712, married Jean Baptiste Daigre, son of Oliv. Daigre and Jeanne Blanchard of Port royal; the said Magdeleine Theriot died in virginia in 1755 and the said Jean Baptiste Daigre, died at Falmouth December 26, 1757. Of the marriage of the deceased Jean Baptiste Daigre and the deceased Magdeleine Theriot were born at the Riviere aux Canards, the following: Magdeleine Daigre, January 14, 1735, married at Falmouth December 26, 1757 to charles Granger and living at the village of Thineve, parish of Bangor; Charles Daigre born December 25, 1737, married at Falmouth February 23, 1761 to Marguerite Granger, born in the parish of Saint Joseph November 6, 1739 of the deceased Charles Granger and Francoise LeBlanc, the said charles Daigre is presently living at Morlaix with his family; Jean Baptiste Daigre in 1740, single, living at Morlaix; simon Daigre in 1743, single, living at Morlaix; Marie Daigre in 1751, single, living at Morlaix; Marie Blanche Daigre in 1753, single, living at Morlaix.
Pierre Theriot married the said Marie Josephe Dupuis, declarant.
Cyprien theriot in 1720, married at the Riviere aux Canards, parish of Saint Joseph, in the month of June 1741 to Marguerite Landry born in the said parish of 1721 of Antoine Landry and Marie Melancon. Of the marriage of Cyprien Theriot and Marguerite Landry were born at the Riviere aux Canards, parish of Saint Joseph, the following:
Pierre Theriot in the month of June 1742 the said Pierre Theriot married at Morlaix, parish of Saint Martin, Diocese of Saint Paul de Leon, to Elizabeth Trahant, daughter of Joseph Trahant and Elizabeth Theriot; the said Pierre Theriot is living at the said Morlaix with his family;
Marie theriot, born in the month of august 1745, single, living at Morlaix;
Marguerite Theriot, born in 1748, single, living at Morlaix;
Elizabeth Theriot, born in the month of November, 1750, single, living at Morlaix.
The said Cyprien theriot died at Falmouth in 1756 and the said Marguerite Landry married a second time to Honore Daigre, living at the village of Chubiguer, paarish of Palais, September 10, 1757 at Falmouth where she died February 19, 1761, of this marriage was born at the said Falmouth: Joseph Firmin Clement Daigre on January 10, 1759.
Charles Theriot, brother of Cyprien Theriot, was born in the said parish of Saint Joseph in 1722, married at the said place May 15, 1748 to elizabeth Trahant, born at the said place January 1, 1726, the said Charles Theriot died at Falmouth October 15, 1756.
Of this marriage was born a daughter in the said parish in the month of August 1749, named Marie Theriot, living with her mother, who married a second time to Honore Daigre September 29, 1762 at Falmouth, at present living at the village of Chubiguer, parish of Palais.
Francoise Theriot, sister germain of Cyprien and Charles Theriot, born at the said place in 1724, married a first to Michel Richard son of Michel richard and anne Bourgeois; the said Michel richard died on the voyage from Virginia to England in 1756. Of this marriage were born in the said parish of Saint Joseph, the following:
Marie Richard in 1741; Marguerite Richard in 1743; Joseph Richard in 1749; elizabeth Richard in 1752; charles Richard in 1754; all are living at Morlaix with the said Francoise Theriot, their mother who married a second time at Falmouth in 1758 to Charles Trahant, son of Guillaume Trahant and Jacqueline Benois. The said Charles Trahant died at the said Falmouth in 1761. Of this last marriage was born at Falmouth in 1762 Anne Trahant, living with her mother at the said Morlaix.
Marguerite Theriot, sister germain of Cyprien, of Charles and Francoise Theriot, born at Saint Joseph in 1726, married Simon LeBlanc, son of antoine LeBlanc and anne Landry, transported to New York.
Simon Joseph theriot, born at the said place in 1728, married May 14, 1748 to Francoise Daigre born in the said parish of Saint Joseph in the month of May 1730, the said Simon Joseph Theriot died at the said place in the month of October 1752.
Of this marriage were born at the Riviere aux Canards: Paul Theriot in the month of May 1749; Elizabeth Theriot in the month of March 1753, booth are living with their mother, the said Francoise Daigre, who married a second time at Morlaix, parish of Saint Mathieu, Diocese of treguier, October 3, 1763 to Pierre Richard living at the village of Kerbellec, parish of Palais.
Of the marraige of the said Marie Dupuis, declarant, and of the deceased Pierre Theriot were born at the Riviere aux Canards, parish of Saint Joseph, the followoing:

FAMILY OF LAURENT BABIN LIVING AT THE VILLAGE OF PARLAVANT, PARISH OF BANGOR, LIVING AT PALAIS
On february 28, 1767 appeared Laurent Babin tenant farmer of the village of Parlavant, parish of Bangor, living in the village of Palais, who, in the presence of Charles Granger, Joseph Billeray, Jean Theriot and Simon Pierre Trahant, all Acadians, living on this island, witnesses, declared that he was born at Mines, parish of Saint Charles, April 9, 1740 of Claude Babin, born in the said parish in 1698 and of Marguerite Dupuis, born at the said place in 1702; the said Claude Babin was the son of Charles Babin and Magdeleine Richard of Port Royal; and charles Babin issued of Antoine Babin who came from France with Marie Mercier, his wife, both settled at Port Royal where they died.
The said Marguerite Dupuis, daughter of Martin Dupuis and Marie Landry. Martin Dupuis issued of another Martin Duupuis who came from France and Perrin Theriot. The said Marie Landry, daughter of Rene Landry who came from France with Marie Bernard, his wife, both settled at Port Royal and died at the said place. The said Marie Dupuis, mother of the said Laurent Babin, living at the village of Kerledant in the parish of Sauzon, in which register is found her genealogy in length.
The said Laurent Babin married at Belle-Isle-en-Mer, parish of Saint Gerand of Palais, February 4, 1766 to Marie Francoise Carriere, born at the said place October 28, 1741 of Sieur Martin Carriere, born in the said parish march 20, 1695, died at the said place on October 30, 1759 and of Jeanne Martiale Legoff, born in the same parish October 10, 1699.
Of this marriage of the said Sieur Laurent Babin and Marie Francoise Carriere were born in the parish of Palais November 4, 1766 Jeanne Francoise Babin.
Such is the declaration of the said Laurent Babin who affirmed it to be true.

DECLARATION OF MESIEUR L'ABBE LE LOUTRE, FORMER VICAR GENERAL OF THE DIOCESE OF QUEBEC IN CANADA
On March 1, 1767 he declared that the Acadians placed on this island were those transported by the english to boston and other English Colonies in the month of October 1755. That from these colonies there were transferred to Old england and dispersed in diverse parts of the Kingdom in the current year of 1756, that in 1763 after the treat of peace they were transported to France in royal barges and placed in varioius seaports and then in 1765 in the current month of October they were settled on this island by order of Monseigneur le duc de Dhoiseul, Ministre de la Marine. He affirms that this is the truth and has signed after reading, the said day and year as above.
Note: The Acadians deported to England had first been deported to Virginia not to Boston and other colonies.
DECLARATION OF JEAN GRANGER, PIERRE GRANGER, JEAN THERIOT OF THE VILLAGE OF BORTEMONT AND OF SIMON PIERRE TRAHANT OF KERGUINOLAY, PARISH OF BANGOR
The year 1767 appeared Jean Granger, Pierre Granger, brothers, of the village of bortemont, Jean theriot of the same place and Simon Pierre Trahant of the village of Kerguinolay, who in the presnece of Jean Michel Legrand, Pascal Fontarive, Pierre Deschamps and Louis Levieil, witnesses living on this island, declared that Francois Xavier Granger, their brother and brother-in-law, who was born at trhe Riviere aux Canards, parish of Saint Joseph, November 27, 1745, who is spoke of in folio 9 of the present register, has returned from a voyage and has been on this island for eight days where he has made his residence. Such is their declaration which they have signed after reading jointly with the witnesses previously named.

We the undersigned clerk to the action of registering the Genealogy of the Acadians settled on this island, certifies that this copy conforms to the original forwarded to be deposted at the office of the Royal Notary of auray, under the terms of the decree of court, with the exception that the signature of M. L'abbe Le Loutre which was not taken down on the package consigned to auray since he had left this island last March 12th before the making of the said minutes. In faith herewith I have signed at Belle-Isle-en-Mer April 10, 1767.
