On September 3, 2006 this sculpture was dedicated at the Grand-Pré site in Nova Scotia. It is entitled Deportation 1755 and depicts an Acadian family on the move which is intended to denote their forced removal from their ancestral lands as well as their arrival in a new land that would welcome them beyond the years of exile.
